Where Do You Stand: Taking Dance Lessons Before Your Wedding?

The first dance as husband and wife is an exciting moment for all newlyweds. Even though all eyes are on them, it's their chance to be close, tell secrets, and just have fun together before mingling with all their guests. As you know, the songs to most first dances are either romantic or they hold a special meaning to the couple, but some opt for a fun twist on the first dance, choreography and all. But even if you don't have some elaborate routine, many couples, especially those with two left feet, need a little help in the dance department. While I think the first dance should come from the heart, tell me where you stand on dance lessons before weddings. Do you think it looks good to have every step mapped out beforehand, or do you think spontaneity is best?

Ever wonder where people learn all those obscure moves they bust out on the dance floor, like "the lawnmower" or "the sprinkler"? Well, I think I just found the dude responsible for proliferating these dance floor disasters. He's invented a few new grooves and demonstrates them for us in the following video. My favorite is "Cleaning Up The Poo In The Litter Box." Purr-fect that one and you're set to party.

This commercial gets off to an unimpressive start - take a look at that rat hole they call a warehouse - and it only gets worse from there. "I say, I say, I say" are Frankie and Johnnie selling furniture, dance lessons, or fried chicken? Bad dancing belongs in every low-budget commercial, but I'm still trying to connect the dots between furniture and fried chicken- buy a couch, get a grease stain for free?

These dancing news anchors teach us all a lesson. Inject a little fun into work, and it won't feel like work at all! I think this would make more sense on Monday, though, when your spirits need a little boosting. These dancers are almost as awesome as my favorite Electric Slide Office Dancers. (They're a tough act to follow.)

Fun Ways to Get Together With the Girls

Sometimes it seems like we spend so much time focusing on new ways to go on a date or enjoy time with our guy that we forget there's an entire world of ideas for spending time with just our girlfriends. So in support of hanging with your ladies, I've come up with some ideas to make for a memorable time. But feel free to weigh in with other ideas of your own!

Host a good old-fashioned cocktail party with a signature drink and appetizers. Spice it up by asking your friends to each bring their favorite dessert. When you're not munching on finger foods, you can indulge your sweet tooth.
Get active. Slip on your tennis shoes and hit the courts, or pick a safe trail in your town and go for a hike. If guys can have pick-up football games, why can't girls have impromptu sunset strolls?
Take turns giving dinner parties and trading recipes. It's a fun way to bond and learn something new!

Since most of us are trying to save money or can't take a few days off work for a vacation whenever we feel like it, try saving up to splurge on a cabin or house by the beach for a weekend together. It's a great way to actually relax for a while.
Try something completely out of your element! You can take a group self-defense class or sailing lessons. Exploring something new together is a great way to bond with your girls!
Throw an in-home dance party. You don't need a DJ or a full bar, just an iPod and your favorite bottle of wine. There's nothing like getting completely silly with your friends when there's no one around to watch!

And don't forget the Sex and the City night fall-back plan when all else fails. All it takes is a couple hours of good girl talk and a few hearty laughs to create the perfect get-together with your friends!

We love seeing Lovely_Ess's big smile and cheery comments on GiggleSugar. She gives us a lot of attention, so it's time to put the spotlight on her. Let's get to know her better, shall we?

GS: What’s your motto?
LE: My motto changes yearly it seems, but most recently I am living by the motto of "Live for yourself and no one else." If you're proud of and content with yourself, then the rest of your life will follow.

GS: Where are you from?
LE: Columbus, Ohio but I'm only home on breaks.

GS: What do you do?
LE: I'm currently a junior at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, majoring in Electrical Engineering and minoring in Spanish. During breaks I work as a college intern at the Franklin County Engineers Office in Columbus.

GS: How would you describe your sense of humor?
LE: My sense of humor seems to range. I cannot resist-no matter what-laughing at myself, especially when I trip, slip or just make a plain fool of myself. I love everything from stupid funny to corny funny. Mostly everything that I seem to find hilarious is never funny to anybody else (lol).

GS: What’s your favorite GiggleSugar post?
LE: It's hard to choose just one. I love all the random videos and pictures. I just can't get enough But if I had to choose, I love the "Family Guy" clips and the break dancing baby.

GS: Who’s the cutest (best looking) funny man and funny woman?
LE: Hmm. I think Katt Williams is cute, so much funny in such a little body, and um let's see...how could I forget about Wanda Sykes? She brings me to tears every time!!

GS: Who are your favorite male and female comedians?
LE: Wow. I don't know. It's hard to choose just one again. I have many favorite comedians and comediennes. Only one?? OK, my all-time favorite comedienne and comedian, lol (all in one), is Tyler Perry/ Mabel "Madea" Simmons. I love how they incorporate life lessons with tons of comedy!!

GS: What’s your favorite comedy of all time?
LE: I'm a very big kid, so I love cartoon comedies like Finding Nemo and The Incredibles). But I guess my all-time favorite would have to be The Princess Bride or Spaceballs. They had me laughing extra hard.

GS: If your life were a comedy, what would it be?
LE: Legally Blonde, but the title should be different because I'm definitely not blonde and not a law student. But my reasoning for that is that engineering is a mainly a male dominated career. And the way people acted in her law school are somewhat how they act in engineering, too. I guess something like "Engineeringly Brunette." (Yeah that def doesn't work!)

GS: Do you look like someone famous?
LE: I don't think so, but this guy keeps telling me I look like Beyonce in my pictures, but I think he's trying to get with me. Oh yeah, and everyone says my baby pictures look like Raven Symone when she was on "The Cosby's."

Lovely_Ess free-for-all: I am so indescribable. I'm not as indecisive as it looks above, I promise. I've recently come to the realization that certain people are meant to be in your life for certain amounts of time. Some for life, and others for just enough time to learn what you are meant to learn. I'm learning how to separate the two. I love to laugh and once you know me, you can hear my laugh from miles away, and I'm always smiling too . OK, I could ramble on for days but I'll be quiet so as not to bore you.

TREND WATCH: Chicken Noodle Soup

Kelly Ripa's doing it. Sexy Chris Brown is doing it. Even a wannabe can of Campbell's is doing it. It's called "Chicken Noodle Soup" and it's the latest dance craze that's steaming up ~~clubs~~ day care centers across the country. Want in on the fun? Take a lesson from these "noodlers." (And pay special attention to the boy dressed in orange who seems more concerned with stroking his imaginary chin hair than playing backup dancer.)
