There have been many periods in my life when I’ve felt frustrated with my friends and family, but for every occasion that I’m annoyed, there are a hundred more when having them in my life has proven invaluable. Whenever I’m sad or worried, I always reach out to them, and even if they can’t solve my problem, it helps to know someone cares. But some people are not apt to do the same. In fact, I have a few people in my life that seem to just shut down when they get sad. Does that sound like you? Do tell, when the going gets tough, how do you react? Do you close yourself off for some much-needed introspection, or is feeling down your time to confide?

Dear's Advice For Carrie

With the big Sex and the City premiere right around the corner, and the $500 girl's night giveaway in full swing, I thought it would be fun to offer some of my own advice to Carrie herself when she encounters a moment with Mr. Big that is both true to life and totally laughable. Dear's Advice: I'm sure most women have dealt with this particular kind of embarrassment before. Anything surrounding bathroom behavior is not something you want to be revealing just as you're getting serious with someone, but it's one of those things that just happens, so the best thing you can do is laugh it off and move on!

In this case, Carrie's humiliation was only compounded by her overreaction. While certainly we'd all like to hide under the covers, I don't recommend it. It's always better to lighten the situation with a joke, instead of making it more awkward by fleeing from the scene. And while some women, like Carrie, may find this the ultimate mistake - or should I say slip - most guys really don't care all that much. I say, next time give it a good laugh, and then remind him of just what a lady you really are!

Do Tell: How Is Your Weekend Wear Different From Your Weekday Wear?

Similar to how a relationship gives you a chance to slack a little in your usual beauty routine, the weekend gives you a chance to abandon the typical workday clothes for your weekend wear. I tend to save my comfy jeans with the faded knees for errand running and my old sandals for shopping, but I have friends who use the weekend to wear all of their cutest, non-professional attire. So ladies, do tell, how does your weekend look differ from that of your weekday?

There’s just nothing fun about being on your period. Not only is your body out of sorts, but emotions tend to flip flop, and the combination can leave you feeling down and out. Whenever my period week arrives, I pull out my looser jeans and my dark, fitted shirts, and if I’m hanging at home, I’ll even sport an oversized sweatshirt. When I dress to flatter my figure and emotions, I don’t feel nearly as self-conscious or bloated . Do you dress differently on your period, too?

What Would Your Requests Be?

Celebrities have been known to have some pretty outlandish requests. It's been rumored that Jennifer Lopez demands that her dressing room be filled with everything white - white walls, white drapes, white sofas, white flowers, and white Diptyque candles. For Christiana Aguilera, it's been said that she requests Flintstones vitamins. It's Froot Loops, Captain Crunch, and Pop Tarts for Britney Spears; a jar of pickle relish and a "ubiquitous deli platter with appropriate condiments" for Ashlee Simpson and just yesterday, Britney Murphy's hubby demanded a specially prepared peanut butter and jelly sandwich every hour on the set of her new movie.

Since these celebrities are the bosses, their demands are met but ladies, if you could make requests such as these while you're hard at work, what would you request?

Is a Boyfriend Pillow the Next Best Thing?

For all you ladies out there that might be feeling a little lonely this Valentine's Day, you're in luck! The Daily Mail recently wrote an article about a Japan-based company that created a pillow in the shape of a man's arm and torso - some might even consider it a perfect cuddle buddy!

The pillow even has a few perks over the actual boyfriend. As the Daily Mail notes: "It doesn't come in drunk, snore, steal the sheets, or wake you up." While that certainly sounds nice, I don't think this substitute could ever replace the real thing; however, I can see how a person would like to keep one around just in case she needed something to hold onto during those lonely nights.

What are your thoughts on the boyfriend-arm pillow? Would you ever use one? Or give one as a Valentine's Day gift?
