On my way to work this morning, I noticed that most people I walked by were chatting vigorously on their cell phones. I guess it's their downtime to catch up before walking into the office, but I've always enjoyed silence on my way to work - being alone with my thoughts helps me start the day off on the right foot. But where do you stand on this one? Do you like to chit-chat on your way to work or do you prefer quiet time?

Cell Phone Use May Affect Sperm

Many people think men have it a lot easier than women when it comes to making babies, but they have to do their part as well - especially when it comes to taking care of their sperm, since so many things can affect them. Eating soy may decrease their sperm count, spending too much time in hot tubs can also have the same effect (although temporarily), and now men have to worry about their cell phones. Yep, it's true. Cell phones are believed to be safe enough to use every day, but now a new study suggests that guys who put their phones in their pockets (on talk mode) while using a headset may have a decrease in the quality of their sperm. It has something to do with their precious business being exposed to cell phone emissions.

In this small study, several semen samples (from 32 men) were divided into a control group and a test group. The test group semen was placed 2.5 centimeters from an 850 MHz cell phone in talk mode for one hour (850 MHz is the most commonly used frequency). Researchers found that there was a decrease in antioxidants, which means a decrease in the sperm's quality - the little guys couldn't move with as much agility, and they weren't as strong of swimmers as the sperm in the control group.

Since this was a fairly small study, representatives from cell phone companies are not giving it much merit and men aren't being advised to change their cell phone habits. But if I were a guy, and starting a family was something in my future, I'd definitely find a new place to lay my phone - far away from my boys!

Most novice drivers are a nervous mess before buckling in and taking the dreaded driving exam, but not this punk. He was busy installing hidden cameras into the dashboard. A new California cell-phone law will prohibit driving and mobile talking come July - so over-the-phone convos are technically still legal. This dude wanted to push the envelope and see if he could take his calls and pass the driving test, too. Five failed exams later . . .

News Anchor Answers Cell Phone on the Air

It's one thing for a ringer to accidentally sound off at work. Or in class. Or at a movie. But you know the interrupting cell-phone situation has spun out of control when a ringer goes off during a live news broadcast and the anchor has the audacity to answer the phone on the air - while her colleague is delivering the weather report. Common courtesy is so passé, so it's really no biggie. I guess.

Was the fat comment really necessary? Ladies, we must stick together and focus all our negative energy on the douchebag in the shower. Not only is he a douche for keeping naked pics of his ex on his cell phone while dating someone new, but he's a douche for keeping naked pics of his ex on his cell phone - period. I hope this chick grabbed the DB's clothes on her way out the door. Let's see him tiptoe home in his towel. Or in a dainty baby tee perhaps?

They say kids grow up fast these days and they are not lying! This doll barely has hair on her head, but she's already pacing around the house while taking care of business on her super-chic pink cell. Judging from her choice of words, the convo sounds less than pleasing. Is the IRS auditing her Pampers supply again? Sh*te! (Her word, not mine.)

Do Tell: Where Is It Most Annoying to Hear People on Their Cell Phones?

I was at the gym the other day and got stuck next to some guy who was chatting away on his cell phone. Now dragging myself to the gym is hard enough of as is it, but being forced to listen to unnecessary conversation makes being there 10 times worse! Unfortunately, the gym isn't the only place where I feel people shouldn't talk on their phones - the bus, the nail salon, a movie theatre, and boutiques should be cell phone-free zones in my mind, too. Now I'm not saying I'm always innocent of the above, but I do try to play by my own rules as much as possible. So how do you feel about cell phone etiquette? Do tell ladies, where is it most annoying to hear people talk on their cell phones?
