Other frequent girl-crush targets include the adorable Reese Witherspoon and super-stylish Rachel Bilson. The commonality? Drew Barrymore was quoted over the weekend, saying, "Oh I’m so in love with Penelope Cruz! She’s Aaaaahh-mazing," when talking about a potential fourth angel in the new Charlie's Angels movie. I like her a lot, too, but it got me thinking about who I absolutely love in Hollywood right now since my celebrity girl crushes change so frequently. I'd say that Kate Beckinsale, Lauren Conrad, and Freida Pinto are on the top of my list, but tell me, who is your current celebrity girl crush?

Have you ever had a girl crush on someone in the non-romantic sense? Have you ever met someone whose charisma and style made you adore her and look up to her, craving her attention as if you were in a relationship with her? Well, I have! While looks and style are a big part of girl crushing, admiring an intelligent, courageous and independent woman can be good for the soul.

Girl Crush Du Jour: Alexa Chung

Usually when someone is described as a "model turned" anything, I'm skeptical, so when I first heard about model-turned-TV-host Alexa Chung's new MTV show, It's On with Alexa Chung, I figured I'd steer clear. But after watching countless clips of the daily show, I'm smitten with this adorable British import.

It helps that even Chung doesn't relish her model past: "That sucked . . . you have to stand on a cross on the floor and no one talks to you, and I'm what you call a talker," she says in her MTV bio. Now the 25-year-old makes a living talking: she's not only cute and stylish (love this dress she wore to the VMAs) but she's also gifted with a very sassy, quick wit. She's a bourbon drinker. Perhaps someday we can get together over old fashioneds and talk about books.
Speaking of which, her favorite book is Revolutionary Road, which I also think is awesome.
She tweets about grammar!
She's a do-gooder who is a brand ambassador for Oxfam, among other things.

The awesome Aussie Laluna has been on our radar for a while, and what a sweetie she is. She's got an adorable tot who plays Playstation with her chin; a dog named Sassy who isn't the best guard dog (when you're cute, you can get away with it); and a sassy sense of humor herself! GS: What’s your motto?
LL: "Yesterday is history; tomorrow is a mystery." I'm not sure where I picked that up!

GS: Where are you from?
LL: South Australia, Australia. A crow eater apparently?! 25 years and I still don't know where that comes from. I should look it up.

GS: What do you do?
LL: I've been working in a caravan park for the last eight months or so. There are some weird people out there, I tell you. There are a lot of shirtless hotties out there too, though, so I survive! I'm doing a children's services course as well. Kids always make me laugh.

GS: How would you describe your sense of humor?
LL: Gosh, I will laugh at anything really. I only need to see someone laughing and I'll start giggling. I don't laugh at "stupid" movies though. I just don't get Scary Movie and the like . . .

GS: What’s your favorite GiggleSugar post?
LL: I can't think of just one. I love WTF?! and Sign Language.

GS: Who’s the cutest funny man and funny woman?
LL: I have such a crush on Wil Anderson.

GS: Who are your favorite male and female comedians?
LL: Kathy Griffin, Chris Lilley, and I love Stephen K. Amos almost as much as I loathe him . . .

LL: I love watching White Chicks with my sisters. It's always fun times. Priscilla Queen of the Desert is one of my all-time favorites, though.

GS: If your life were a comedy, what would it be?
LL: Oh, I don't know. My life is pretty boring; if it were a sitcom, it would soon be canceled.

GS: Do you look like someone famous?
LL: Hehe. I did one of those celebrity lookalike things, and it came up with Jessica Alba. I wish . . .

Laluna free-for-all: I'm 25 years old. I live with my cute staffy x Sassy. She is the worst guard dog ever! I spend my days either working or thinking about how I should be studying. I've looked after a little girl, Nikiya, since she was six months old and she just turned six. She makes me laugh all the time. She loves playing Playstation but can't use the controller properly with her little fingers so she uses her chin to steer! Seriously funny to watch! I am addicted to the Sugar sites and GiggleSugar always brightens my day. (GS: Yay!)

Dear E. Jean--

I really need to know: is there any such thing as a truly good guy?? No matter what I do or how I try to change my patterns from the past, I just seem to keep attracting jerks over and over and over and over. I've tried dating against my type -- choosing a quiet, polite science nerd (he was a graduate student in microbiology) instead of my usual brooding artist type. He turned out to be a control freak, a liar, and had a violent temper! I am still recovering from the shock of discovering his true character. I didn't go on a single date for over a year, not trusting my own judgment.

Recently, I went on a few dates with a person who just seemed to exude "good guy" vibes--thoughtful, gentle, good listener--and just when I started to feel like he was really trustworthy, he invited me out with his friends and then spent the whole night ignoring me and blatantly flirting with some other girl right in front in me. I was not only crushed, I felt humiliated in front of his friends.

So, please tell me--is there such a thing as a TRULY nice guy?? And how can I tell the difference? I'm starting to feel like all other women know some secret about this that I don't.

MY YOUNG TROLLYMOG: No, my darling, there’s no such thing as a “truly nice guy.” As you’ve discovered, the moment you think you’ve found a nice chap, 99 times out of a 100 he’ll turn out to be a rogue, cad, dillweed, schnook, twit, drunkard, sadomasochist, lecher, pimp, nincompoop, egomaniac, zod, moron, mama’s boy, or jerkball. Stop looking for a “nice guy!” Gah!

Cease searching for a “type.” To hell with telling “the difference?”

It’s time to uncork your brain, open your eyes and sample all types -- shy boys, heroes, geniuses, poets, adventurers, daredevils, moguls, saints and scapegraces. Face down the dimwits. Go everywhere! Do everything! Be extraordinary, be celebrated, be a virtuoso of the male sex!

How? If you place yourself where there are high numbers of men, it becomes a mathematical certainty you will meet a non-dolt.

Where? Golf courses, cigar bars, batting cages, car shows, geek-meets, poetry slams, concerts, polo fields, rugby games, the gym, and church on Friday Night. (I like the men’s room at Yankee Stadium during the playoffs, myself.) Better yet, try a speed-dating event for young professionals; and dip your toe into Match.com.

Best of all, if you want to meet someone who’s passionate, bright, caring and shares your philosophy, volunteer with a political campaign. Not only your love life, but your country’s future is on the line.

Because in the end, it is not about “types,” sweetheart. The secret is--yes! There’s a secret--If you limit yourself to a certain category of men, you’ll end up with a categorical clod.
