It's hard to practice what you preach all the time. Sure, with the big things that you feel incredibly passionate about it's not, but with the little everyday things, like recycling or smoking cigarettes, it's easy to break the rules from time to time. I don't know about you, but I happen to think the weekends are for breaking the rules. Whether it's splurging on an extra piece of pizza or sleeping till noon, I let myself indulge — hey, it's only two days, right? Author Candace Bushnell might be married to a man 10 years her junior, but don't call her a cougar. In an op-ed out tomorrow in More Magazine, the Sex and the City writer laments the fact that women who break out of traditional roles are then labeled with a derogatory term. We have "ballbuster" female CEOs, "bitchy" politicians, and alas, "cougars."

Do you find it annoying when men brag about the women they've slept with? Well Saudi Arabia finds it more than annoying — it's flog worthy! Abdul Jawad, a Saudi man who boasted about his sexual conquests on Arab TV, is now facing mounting calls for him to be imprisoned or flogged.

I've been following the story of Savana Redding for a while now. When Savana was 13, she was strip searched at school on the false suspicion that she brought prescription-strength Ibuprofen pills to campus.
Well, today the Supreme Court handed down the ruling that it was unconstitutional for the school officials to conduct that nude strip search of Savana.

On Take Your Kids to Work Day yesterday, Michelle Obama took questions from 170 children, ages 7 to 14. She later called the grilling her "first official press conference."
"They asked me a ton of questions," the first lady said, "and they were hard."

A jury ruled yesterday that Ward Churchill, a formerly tenured professor at the University of Colorado, was wrongly fired after he compared victims of Sept. 11 to Nazi leader Adolf Eichmann. The jury granted him just $1 in damages, and a judge will rule soon whether he should get his job back.
