No matter how beautiful or perfect you may think someone is, I can almost guarantee that they have their own set of insecurities just like you and me. While the female body is a beautiful form no matter what shape or size, it's really all about the way you feel inside in regard to how you look on the outside. And even though it's commonly just in our heads, most women I know have at least one part of their body that they wish could be smaller, tighter, leaner, prettier, or just plain different from what it currently is.

One of the dating “facts” I hear dispensed time and time again is that people gain weight when they’re in relationships. Whether that’s true or not, weight gain can happen to any of us, and often does over time. But while our devotion to our partner may be unconditional, that doesn’t always mean our attraction is.

Recently a friend lamented to me about this very issue, cursing her mom for making her perpetually unhappy with her body.

A friend recently confided in me about some issues she’s dealing with regarding her weight — something she's apparently been trying to manage for years. I was totally surprised by her admission; of course she has her least favorite spot, but she always comes off incredibly secure with her body. When I asked why she had never opened up to me about it before, she said that she was too embarrassed.

This week is National Eating Disorder Awareness Week, and since as many as 10 million females and one million males in the US are suffering from an eating disorder, I'm thankful that we have resources such as the National Eating Disorders Association. Their main goal is to raise awareness, educate, support, and eventually help eradicate eating disorders altogether.
Body image issues are common all over the world and they can easily manifest in an eating disorder so I'm curious to see how many of you have either suffered from one yourself, or known someone that has.

Even the most beautiful and seemingly perfect women have insecurities about their bodies, especially in the bedroom. I guess it's just part of life as a woman! For some, it's relatively simple to embrace flaws, but insecurities can be crippling for others.
