Would You See Will Ferrell As Bush on Broadway?

Back in 2004 the unmarried Condoleezza Rice started a story by saying: "As I was telling my husb . . . " She continued: "As I was telling President Bush." The PG-rated slip of the tongue has inspired a PG-13 scene in Will Ferrell's Broadway show: You're Welcome America. A Final Night With George W. Bush. In the scene, Condi Rice (played by Pia Glenn) strips down to her red underwear to perform a lap dance for President Bush. Judging by audience reactions, this scene could steal the show.

Considering you can't get a ticket for much less than $200, would you pay top dollar to laugh at Bush and Condi? If Will Ferrell's Bush impersonation isn't your thing, maybe Tina Fey will bring her Sarah Palin impersonation to Broadway next!

In a class reunion of sorts between two SNL alums and two of the most recognizable and/or popular political impressions, last night's Thursday edition had Bush meeting Palin - for an endorsement of a very special kind.

Asking where McCain was to receive this special blessing and waxing on the experience of his last eight years in office, "Bush" said, "George Bush always finds his man, save for one huge exception." He went on, complimenting Fey-lin on her folksiness, saying, "For a while I was trying to be folksy, but after a bit, it just came off 'douchey'" Do we say that? Does the fake president say that about the real one?

With a higher level nod to perhaps the perception of his own VPs role, the faux-Bush said the job was important because the Veep, "decides when we go to war, how we tax the citizens, and how we interpret the Constitution." When McCain enters, Bush is bound and determined to get his endorsement in, regardless of McCain's reluctance - which I guess is satire, but I watched the real one back in March. . . I think "similarities" is the word we'd use. Though Will's Bush has a tinge of Ricky Bobby now, it was nice to see him back.

While Pat Buchanan has some strong words for what he sees as a double-standard when it comes to the show's mockery, what did you think of the ersatz endorsement?

In addition to doing a mean impersonation of former prez Bill Clinton, Darrell Hammond does a hilarious Sean Connery. What could make it funnier? Make him a contestant on Jeopardy who can't play for shite, but who loves to mock Alex Trebek. (This is the first time I've heard someone call someone else a "brigand" as an insult!) It's comedy genius. Just ask CasaSugar who said to me, "I have to stop watching cuz I'm almost puking." Almost puking from laughter! Now that's an endorsement.

There are many features to look for in a Xerox copier, but let's be honest, the most important question is: Can it copy your ass? Photocopying your ass on a standard copier results in an "overall compromise of ass clarity," and no one wants that. How does the Xerox Assjet insure quality ass pics? From what I could gather, it's primarily due to the "polyventric form ass bucket." Sweet. (And look how young Will Ferrell is in this!)
