Where Do You Stand? Gift Giving For the Holidays

It starts right after Thanksgiving. People hit the stores to start Christmas shopping, and the malls are packed with shoppers spending tons of money and searching for the perfect gifts.

Some people wouldn't dare show up at the family Christmas without a huge car filled with beautifully wrapped packages. Likewise, they're excited to receive and open gifts too. Giving and receiving presents can be fun and meaningful, and it's a time to show your appreciation for others.

What's your opinion on gift giving during the holidays? Are you into it? Or do you think it's gotten way too materialistic and out of hand?

Where Do You Stand? Dating a Guy Who Has Kids

I've always had this idea that I'd meet someone, get married, buy a house, and have children. I guess it's a common dream among women, and I hate to admit this but dating a guy who already has kids doesn't really fit into that picture. I'm not saying I would necessarily turn a guy away if he was a dad, but it's not exactly something I look for in a boyfriend.

I know I have some old-fashioned ideals, so what do you think? If you found out a guy you were dating had kids, would it bother you? Would you continue dating? Or would his family situation be a complete deal breaker for you?

Where Do You Stand: Mixing Friends With Family

I just finished Love the One You're With, the book I suggested for my June Must-Haves, and it was every bit as good as I expected! It's a story about a woman who marries her best friend's brother - what some might call a perfect situation. Without giving away the ending, I think it's pretty obvious to assume that mixing your family with your friends isn't always as simple as it sounds.

I've actually had a good girlfriend date my brother and luckily it didn't create much drama, it was more comical than anything else, but I don't know how I'd feel if something really came of it. As selfish as it may sound, I like to keep those relationships separate, you know, just in case things get sour. So where do you stand on your friends dating your siblings? Has it ever happened to you? If not, how would you feel if it did?

Where Do You Stand? Abortions When You're Married

I just read an article that talked about teen abortion rates decreasing, though the rates haven't changed much for older women. I'm sure you all have opinions about abortion in general, but does your view point change in cases where the woman is older and married? Do you think a responsible, married couple should go through with having a baby even if it was unplanned, maybe even unwanted, just because they're in a committed relationship? Or are you pro-life or pro-choice in all circumstances? Tell me where you stand when it comes to abortions when you're married, and remember, even though this is a pretty heated subject, you still need to respect your fellow Sugar users' opinions.

Where Do You Stand? Staying in Lounge Clothes All Weekend

When the weekend arrives, I instantly transform into chill mode. I sleep in and take my time around the house, and it feels like I seldom get out of my sweatpants until it's time to go out at night. I run errands in my sweats, I shop in my sweats, I even go out to lunch in my sweats. My plans, of course, dictate my outfit, but I'm curious to know where you stand on staying in your loungewear on the weekend. Is it something you do, too, or do your sweats make you feel less productive?
