A whole 94 days before President Bush leaves office, Oliver Stone's biopic hits theaters tonight! I previewed W with BuzzSugar, who wrote an unfavorable review lamenting the movie as too little, too soon. Many viewers will likely leave the theater mildly entertained by Bush's past antics, but exasperated with the last eight years, especially the Iraq war.

I know a very smart, independent, tomboyish 5-year-old who is enthralled by the idea of being a princess. It was Fiona from the Shrek films that got her hooked.
Girls have always loved playing with dolls and pretending they're princesses, but it appears to be crammed down their throats even more now by toy manufacturers and movie studios.

Since W the movie failed to figure out George W. Bush, a psychiatrist who's studied him is giving it a go. Justin Frank, MD, the author of Bush on the Couch: Inside the Mind of the President, says President Bush is not Dick Cheney's puppet nor is he a well-intentioned fool in over his head but a sadist who will revel in watching the world clean up his mess from his Crawford couch.

If you caught The Dark Knight already, you might want to go back for a second look — did you know you may have been watching a flick all about George W. Bush? According to this WSJ op-ed, it's true: There seems to me no question that the Batman film The Dark Knight, currently breaking every box office record in history, is at some level a paean of praise to the fortitude and moral courage that has been shown by George W.

OK, OK I'm going to directly contradict every time your mother said, "read a book" or "go outside and play," because this week it's all about gripping TV. Here's what I mean:
Monday — It's not light TV, but sounds compelling:
- Section 60: Arlington National Cemetery — On HBO tonight at 9 p.m. this documentary tells the story of the section that serves as the burial ground of US military personnel killed in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The Bushes, Dr. now have their official doppelgängers. James Cromwell and Ellen Burstyn have been tapped to play the parents of 43. Oliver Stone has been hard at work on casting the whole first family for his movie about George W.

When Whoopi Goldberg makes the fatal mistake of mentioning the Sex and the City movie during a taping of The View, Sherri and Elisabeth can't contain their schoolgirl giggling, excited hand holding, and supercalifragilisticexpialidocious gushing. It gets a bit unnerving, but thankfully, Whoopi knows how to calmly and maturely put the two tweens in their place — by making fun of them. W00t for Whoopi!
