HarperCollins has cut Sully a $3 million deal for a memoir and a book of inspirational poems.

A modest pilot Chesley B. "Sully" Sullenberger seemed to think his hero's welcome-home parade was more than enough a couple weekends ago, but some passengers from Flight 1549 feel that US Airways has not taken the appropriate steps to make up for their near death experience.
Since the crash landing in the Hudson River, the survivors (aka everyone on board) has received $5,000 for lost luggage and other expenses.

As we found out recently, birds can wreak havoc on their much larger neighbors in the sky. Each year, 7,000 collisions between birds and planes are reported, and while the feathered creatures don't usually cause crashes, the damage costs millions of dollars.
At Sacramento's airport, which has California's highest bird-strike rate, officials want legislation that would allow them to kill fearless birds.

Far away from New York City's frigid Hudson River, US Airways pilot Chesley B. "Sully" Sullenberger received a warm welcome from his small-town in Northern California. This weekend's celebration included a marching band, patriotic music, and a plethora of American flags.

A flock of geese may have caused US Ariways flight 1594 to crash into the Hudson River this afternoon. The flight, and its 155 passengers were headed from New York's LaGuardia Airport to Charlotte, NC.

All passengers and crew members died in a major plane crash in New York state last night. Continental Airlines Flight 3407 was commuting from Newark to Buffalo when it crashed into a home, five minutes before landing. One person on the ground died, too, bringing the death toll to 50.
