Last Friday, Tyra Banks hosted a show on jealousy and friendships. On air, one woman confronted her friend for copying her hairstyle and her wardrobe and also accused the friend of resenting her success. The accused friend admitted that being a cash-strapped single mom made her envious of her friend.

It was a sad confrontation, and it reminded me that competitive comparison often infiltrates close relationships.

Have you ever had a friend who was jealous of your love life, career, dress size, or anything else? Of course, feel free to share any moments where you felt envious of a friend, too.

The streets were littered with headshots and high heels. Someone shouted "guns" and even "bombs." Women lost their purses, but thankfully, no one lost her life. A John Waters movie, you ask? Nope. Just another Saturday in New York when ladies in line to audition for America's Next Top Model created a melee that required police reinforcement and ambulances. All just to have Tyra force them into tragic haircuts while telling 'em to smile with their eyes. Me? I'd stand in line to audition for Cleveland's Next Top Model. That's waaaay cooler.

Um, when is she actually gonna do this? I've been overly judgmental about Natalie Dylan, the virgin who is auctioning off her virginity. So before I transfer my judgment to icky Mr. Burns, let me say this: of course she has a right to do it, whether it's because she wants to test the politics of prostitution, for the dough, or because it gets her off. I love how, when the 59-year-old Burns is introduced, the audience doesn't know whether to clap or boo. Sorry, but can you imagine losing your virginity to a dude old enough to be your grandfather? Tyra was surprisingly lucid and hilarious in this clip when she said, "You look like my accountant!" Opinions? I know you have them!

"Bazaar" Is Right! Tyra Plays Michelle Obama in Mag - Why?

Tyra Banks has a penchant for playing dress-up (see: episode where she wore a fat suit), but in the September issue of Harper's Bazaar, she's slipping into a power suit to portray Michelle Obama in a fashion spread. While the dress-up stand-in seems odd, the mag has ventured into the politics of mimicry before, featuring fashion models posed next to cardboard cutouts of the candidates.

Given the sometimes questionable authenticity surrounding a campaign, this seems to make sense on a deeper level (candidates = cardboard), but what does the Tyra stunt mean? While the vocal African-American supermodel has spoken out on race in the past, is the larger statement that she has a potential first lady to portray at last? Or is this just a huge September mag fashion stunt? One of the shots has been leaked, you can see for yourself.

Really?! And all this time I thought she was put on this earth to teach women how to "smile with their eyes." I'm a completely different person now that I understand that concept! (Although everyone else just asks me if I have something in my eye.)

The most recent installment of America's Next Top Model was pretty dang juicy. And by juicy I mean bat sh*t insane. First, the "girls" were asked to model in an alleyway to raise awareness about homelessness ("It's about them being fabulous and you embodying this mood"). Then, Twiggy replacement Paulina Porizkova told a model she looked like a dude. And finally, my fave part of all is in this clip. Kim, who didn't initially seem like she had a thing in her head, shocks them all by saying she's not that into fashion. The nerve! But what about all the homeless people who are depending on you to raise awareness for them?! Crickets . . .
