It pains me to post this video. It chronicles a particularly embarrassing moment in the life of this tiny toity here who is doing his damnedest to have sexy-times with a completely uninterested shoe. He was the little turtle who could. Only, he couldn't. Sad.

Say that 10 times fast, and then you might begin to understand this little guy's plight. He begins his Sisyphean journey to take a bite out of a cherry tomato, but as soon as he gets to it, it slips from under his little beaklike maw. Finally, a human comes in and holds it still so he can get a little bite. This is dramatic stuff, people - in a toitie's world, anyway.

The Teenage Mutant Canine Turtle

This Florida psychologist spent ten years training a turtle to perform dog tricks. The turtle can sit, shake, and roll over on command. It's a beautiful thing. The turtle also helps the doc with his patients, which makes me wonder if he's rewarded with his fair share of the revenue. One of these days, I'm sure he'll bark up and let us know. No joke.

Two-Headed Turtle Has Lady Troubles

You may have already seen this two-headed turtle. It's been working the talk show circuit and making guest appearances left and right, so to speak. So Letterman got the 411 and somehow this mutant turtle's still cruising solo (minus the extra head) down dating lane. I guess making a move of any kind has been a bit difficult, but don't them "perty" lady turtles realize that two heads equal two times the attention?

I love this curmudgeonly little toitie. What other baby animal comes out looking so grumpy and old? You can almost hear him saying, "Harrumph!" And I could picture him smokin' a pipe and reading Tolstoy in his study. Okay, that might be too much. And yet look at his "bustin' out of the shell" photo below. He's all, "Get the party started, beyotches!!!" Mr. Toitie has so many dimensions to him.
