Correct me if I'm wrong, but pointing is rude, no? So why is this creepy ass puppet on The Wiggles explicitly instructing our impressionable tykes to point their fingers - up, down, every damn place? (Then there's the question of where this puppet is pointing exactly - down where?) Sesame Street may get a bad rep, but at least Big Bird and the gang aim to teach our kids a little more than how to hold their own at a rave. The Wiggles are seriously trippin'.

Just because you can, doesn't mean you should. Unless we're talking Wiggles Dog Wigs, in which case, you absolutely must. My fave is the Phyllis Diller wig on the silly pup you see up there! I'm really digging the pink fall on the first doggie, too. Thanks, Geek!

McCain and Obama Share the Stage For the First Time Tonight!

Who thought the presidential campaign would steal the oldest beauty pageant trick in the book? Obama and McCain are set to make their first joint appearance tonight at mega-pastor Rick Warren's Saddleback Church in Southern California - but they won't be on stage at the same time. Remember the isolation booths that beauty queen finalists would hop into so that they wouldn't hear the final question before it was their turn to answer? The Q&A tonight will be just like that, give or take a tiara.

Warren is going to ask what he calls tough "heartland" questions to both, and in a move I actually really like for comparison's sake, both candidates will get the exact same batch. The one-hour slots will focus on questions that Warren says don't allow for a lot of wiggle room, "but I do want to know how they handle a crisis, because a lot of the things in the presidency often deal with things you don't know are going to happen, that we don't know will happen in the next four years . . . There are a lot of different things you can deal with in the life of a leader that will tell us more about the candidate than some of the typical questions."

The move to have the first forum at a mega-church could be seen as unusual, but Warren says his flock contains all shades of political views and it's a perfect venue. As to whether McCain has an advantage with the evangelical voters, Warren says, "they're not a monolithic bloc, as the press frequently tries to make them out to be. I think that for many evangelicals, they're not convinced that either of these men is an evangelical. They may be believers in Christ, they may be Christian, but they want to know, for instance, their world view. And they want to hear it out."

Cute Alert: Dog Adopts 3-Day-Old Kitten

Do not watch this video unless you want a little tear to form in one of your eyes. Icy the cat died and left behind a teeny little kitten, the sole surviving kitten from her last litter. (Tears forming yet?) Well, the family was determined to raise her, and what do you know! The family pup Shelby can't keep his paws off her -he loves her so much. There is too much cute in this video: the kitty nursing from her bottle while her little ears wiggle; kitty snuggling with Shelby in the crook of his neck; and Shelby trying to bring her back into the fold with his giant paw. Sigh. I'm dying over here.

BellaSugar and I trade cute animal videos during the day, and I had to force her to watch this vid past the nursing part - "The dog nipples made me uncomfortable," she said. Haha. Well, get past that and you're in for a treat. There's the lip-smacking puppy, the puppies taking a nap all in a row, and then at the end (if you can handle it) a puppy wiggling his little legs in the air like a turtle who's fallen over. Just ignore the Sixpence None the Richer soundtrack if you can. . . .

De Niro "Imagines" Himself As A Dog

I don't know how these famous dudes get talked into doing these sorts of gigs. (What two-year-old is really gonna recognize De Niro?) I do love watching them stoop to Elmo's level, though, as they turn themselves into four-legged animals or tiny, talking heads of cabbage, or even wiggle with creepy, one-eyed alien puppets. Watch and enjoy.
