Whenever I watch old clips from The Newlywed Game, I find myself wondering how anyone could ever know so many mundane details about her spouse. I mean, even if you've been married for 40 years, do you really know your husband's favorite crustacean? Then there are the easy questions like, "What's your husband's favorite condiment?"

In this segment of The Newlywed Game, the ladies were asked to divulge the "weirdest place" they've had the urge to "make whoopee." One woman misunderstood the question, provided an unsolicited answer, and everyone turned beet red — in the end.

It's not so much the game or the competitive spirit involved, it's the candid answers that make televised game shows so worthwhile to watch--especially when those answers hit a little too close to DUMB. Word to the Wise: If you make a habit of stealing lamps from hotel rooms, do yourself a favor and don't mention it on national TV! (Oh, and I heart Paul Lynde!)

The clock is ticking, there are millions of viewers watching at home, and the pressure's on. So it completely baffles me how game show contestants feel comfortable enough to blurt out the first idiotic thing that comes to mind while on television-- as if they won't have to live this moment down for the rest of their lives! And no, a delicatessen is not a drug store.

The Newlywed Game coined the term "making whoopee," but that's just one way to describe having S-E-X. I personally like "doing it" or "shagging," so ladies, do tell, what's your favorite term to use besides "having sex?"
