On the first Saturday in September the British Royal family descends on Braemar, Scotland for "the games." The monarch sponsors the Annual Braemar Highland Gathering, a traditional competition, whose modern incarnation goes back 200 years.
Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh and Prince Charles, Prince of Wales, along with many of their subjects watched a diverse set of events including: highland dancing, piping, tossing the caber, putting the stone, throwing the hammer, sprinting, long leap, tug of war, children's sack race.

There's something incredibly sexy about a man that's good with kids. Perhaps that quality just pulls on my maternal heart strings, but I have a feeling I'm not alone on this one. Though they're not set in stone, many of the roles we play are dictated by society, and women being the ones who stay at home is one of them.

The Bushes, Dr. now have their official doppelgängers. James Cromwell and Ellen Burstyn have been tapped to play the parents of 43. Oliver Stone has been hard at work on casting the whole first family for his movie about George W.

Most folks accumulate school photos of themselves over the years; Kid Rock collects mug shots. Here he is from 1991 to 2007 looking stoned, curiously chipper, and like a deer in the headlights. His momma must be real happy to have these for the family albums.

Dear Sugar,
I am getting married this summer and talk of my bachelorette party is starting to swirl. My maid of honor is my best friend from childhood. Our mothers have been best friends forever and we were both the only girls in our families, so we are more like sisters than friends-- she's the best!
