With her rocker eyeliner, all-black wardrobe, and perfected eye roll, Gossip Girl's Jenny Humphrey isn't exactly fitting in with the prissy kids at her prep school. It's obvious that she needs a bad boy by her side, and on last night's episode that's just what she gets.
Jenny meets up with a Belgian diplomat's son, who happens to be drug pusher.

You know what the Parents Television Council doesn't like? Threesomes. Implicit or explicit, it says there's no place for a ménage à trois on network TV.

Last night's Gossip Girl episode may have been titled "The Lost Boy," but it should have been called "Nine Lies." Who isn't lying to whom? Blair and Chuck lie to each other to get into the Sotheby's auctions.

One day you're in, and the next day you're below New York's 14th Street where, as Blair puts it on last night's Gossip Girl, "there's no class system." Is anything going right for poor Blair on her first day of college? Her gift bags and maid fail to impress her dormmates; her archenemy is her roommate; and that sushi/sake party is an epic fail.

Last night, our long, Upper East Side-less Summer came to a welcomed end when Gossip Girl's third season premiered. (Check out BuzzSugar for their favorite WTF moments.) While it lacked the melodrama I've come to love and expect, I was happy to see Blair and Chuck haven't let monogamy interfere with their Shakespearean scheming.
This year, instead of playing each other, they're on the same team, fooling unsuspecting girls into Chuck's arms so that scorned woman Blair can storm in and unleash her faux rage.

For a network known for teen-centric shows, the CW raises more than a few eyebrows with its decidedly adult ads. Last year, it was the OMFG Gossip Girl ads, and now there's hubbub over its campaign for The Vampire Diaries, a teen vampire drama that debuts Sept. 10.

It baffles my mind why any entertainment news correspondent would report from a barnyard and go live while sitting in front of a cow's ass. (On second thought, it makes plenty of sense.) That's exactly what this dude did and the cow behind him used the opportunity to share his thoughts on the young Hollywood scene.

This isn't the first time we've seen this news crew pull these shenanigans on the air. The dancing traffic dude has been replaced by a new reporter and she's keeping up his act. He's still around to join her, so we now have two sideshow dancers giving us their best rhyme and Roger Rabbit, as opposed to the updates.

The upcoming Season of America's Next Top Model embraces diversity as usual. Twenty-two-year-old Isis, who identifies as a woman but born physically male, will compete as the show's first transgender contestant.
While GLAAD hails the choice as an unprecedented opportunity for visibility, Isis has a more humble assessment of her role in breaking societal barriers for trasngender individuals — Isis has explained: "I like to help people, but I'm here to follow my dreams."

Monday night's episode of Gossip Girl was filled with the usual hijinks as best friends Serena and Blair found themselves competing for an opportunity to make it into Yale. But their particular method of competition involved consciously humiliating the other and trying to make each other look bad — not exactly friendly, to say the least.
Admittedly, their drama was over the top in true Gossip Girl fashion, but still, the idea of sacrificing a friendship for a personal opportunity lingered with me.
