beginning to ditch abstinence-only education programs.
Texas has the third-highest teen pregnancy rate in the US and it also spends the most on abstinence-only education. One school district official explained the decision to step away from an abstinence-only approach:
"We don’t think abstinence-only is working.

2Wait a gosh darn minute!! You tell teenagers not to DO something... and they DO it ?!
3It certainly can't be any worse.
Now we just need to get them to teach about safe sex practices that don't just involve penis-in-vagina sex.

Wow it took them a while. Hopefully the other places that teach "Abstinence Only" will catch on and teach safe sex as well.
