Ouija boards, ghost stories, the supernatural — some people give up these interests (if they had them at all) after about 7th grade when no one's hosting slumber parties anymore.
I, on the other hand, like to think of an occult practice like Tarot card reading as way to free up my creativity.
Do I believe that when I do a Tarot reading that the divine spirit Gaia is guiding me?

Hello Kitty hit the market a little over 30 years ago and took the world by storm. Both young and old are charmed by the button-eyed feline. Her peeps will buy anything Kitty and are always purring for more, but when we put the Japanese sweetheart on a thong— methinks we've gone too far.

Living in the city, you can't walk more than five blocks without seeing an advertisement for a psychic. There are tarot card readers, palm readers, and people who say they can tell you your future, but I have to say that I've never seen one.
Psychics both intrigue and scare me at the same time.

Close your eyes and visualize. Imagine a small town in New England where people fear being arrested for telling the future, clairvoyance or tarot card readings. A place where contacting spirits or communicating with those who have passed on are persecuted and even arrested.
