Not by choice. I have no clue why this chick puts her head on this crooner's chest in the first place, but she does, and when she goes to step away - there's just no escape. While she's trying to subtly yank the hair out of his pendant, or out of her head (whichever comes first), he's thinking that he's a bona fide stud. Talk about a sticky situation . . .

Stuck in Dress: A Fitting Room Saga

Should we buy our prom dresses two sizes too small or four sizes too small? That is the question. Judging from this teenybopper's excruciating battle to pull off a dress in the fitting room, I guess five sizes too small is the answer. A form-fitting gown is sexy, but if huffing, puffing, and a tub of butter is necessary to yank the dress off at the end of the night - ditch it. If you can.

I am involved with a married man and I don't know how to stop. He's been married for a couple of years, and his wife often goes out of town. I feel like I'm in a relationship with him: he calls or texts before he goes to sleep, cooks me dinner when he can, and we talk about almost anything with each other. I don't expect him to leave his wife for me, and it doesn't seem like he's going to. He just says he wishes we would have met before he got married. I know deep down that this is so wrong, but I feel like I can't do anything about it. I feel too happy when I'm around him. Help!

Dear The Other Woman,

I have some bad news and some good news. First, the bad news: you are not happy. You are in a relationship that is damaging to both you and this man's wife. The only person remotely benefiting from the situation is this unfaithful person you are involved with.

Now the good news: real happiness does exist. You can find someone - who's not married - to talk, laugh, cry, and have sex with. And it will be so much better. But first you need to do some work on yourself. Look at your life and decide what type of person you want to be. Do you want the adjectives selfish, dishonest, and disrespectful to describe who you are? Or would you rather have the words loving, faithful, and complete describe your behavior and your relationship? Next you need to boost your confidence. Think about what has made you do something that is undoubtedly so hurtful to yourself and this other woman. Is it because you are afraid of being alone? Is it because you think this is the best thing you can get? If so, let me tell you that a little patience can go a long way. Focus on the things you really enjoy in life (do you like running? painting? traveling?), the things that make you excited, and you will only become more desirable.

The search for love is a hard and frustrating one, but you are just going down a dark and depressing path with nothing but hurt waiting at the end of it. End things with this unavailable man, figure out why you love yourself, and then you will find someone who loves you for all those qualities too.

It landed on a neighbor's balcony with minor injuries, and yes, it's name is Lucky. And now I present you with the story of a cat who was stuck in a tree for a week and, just as he was about to be rescued by some good Samaritans, decided he'd had enough and just took a flying leap. Do You Think You're Emotionally Intelligent?

In some ways, this is a trick question, because if you're not emotionally intelligent - defined very broadly as someone "particularly good at establishing positive social relationships with others, and avoiding conflicts, fights, and other social altercations" - you might think you are anyway!

But October is Emotional Intelligence month, and it seemed a good time to remind people, as Emotional Intelligence author Daniel Goleman claims in his book subtitle, that "it can matter more than IQ." We've all known the brilliant boss or friend who had a horrible temper or little ability to empathize and couldn't figure out why, in the case of the boss, no one ever stuck around for long, or, in the case of the friend, people had to break up with them they were so toxic.

Some traits of emotional intelligence?

1. Having the ability to accurately perceive emotions in oneself and others.
2. Using emotions to facilitate thinking.
3. Being able to understand emotional meanings, being sensitive.
4. Being able to manage emotions.

So if you're paranoid everyone's out to get you, or that everything someone says is a perceived slight justifying angry outbursts, but nothing you say or do should bother others . . . you might need a higher EQ. (Some believe this can be worked on, others say it's inborn.)

Beau of Woman Stuck on Toilet Wins Lottery Again

If you think the universe is unfair now, wait until you get a load of this update! A while back, a man from Kansas called 911 and said his girlfriend wouldn't leave the loo - in fact, she'd be in there for two years. (Ummm, what?! Ever heard the expression, "Shit or get off the pot?!") Turns out this poor woman had been stuck to the toilet seat for an entire month. (I'll spare you the details.) Anyway, somehow this wonderful boyfriend of hers, in addition to getting only six months probation for misdemeanor mistreatment, managed to win the $20,000 lottery - twice! Ugh. Group Therapy: I Feel Stuck

I am 28 years old and I feel like my life has come to a stand-still. I hate my job; I don't get paid enough and my co-workers depend on me entirely too much. I tried to leave last year but got sent on such a guilt trip that I stayed. I can't imagine having a family with my husband with the money I make now. No one here has gotten a raise in two years because the company can't afford it. I've worked so hard and have received very little in return. I am also trying to write a series of novels that I'm m co-authoring with my husband, but every time I open the file on my computer, I want to cry. I've hit a complete roadblock and just want to trash the whole three years of work I have already put into it. Whenever I ask for my husband's input or help, or to even read the damn thing, he never feels like it and it's driving me insane.

Has anyone else been in this position of feeling stuck? I feel like I need to do something extreme to change my position in life; like just give two weeks and never look back, but I'm a chicken! Please help!

This or That: Stuck With the Bill or the Nerd?

You know that big group dinners can be a pain, but it’s a good friend’s birthday so you decide to make the most of her party. You’re having an OK time, except you feel like the odd woman out when the other girl's start up a conversation with a group of guys one table over. Before you know it, you're practically the last one left at the table while the rest of them - with the guys - have wandered over to the bar. You'd love to just leave, but unfortunately you're stuck there for the moment. Would it be worse if . . .

This: The server is waiting for the bill to be paid, and staring at you mercilessly? You manage to get some money from the others, but the majority of it ends up on your credit card.

Or…

That: You’re stuck keeping the group of guys’ not-so-cool friend company? He’s a nice guy, but you’re completely miserable with him, not to mention that you can already tell he’s getting the wrong idea.
