The deed involves exactly what the name suggests - one partner is body slammed or "squashed" by a much heavier counterpart. It's oh so WWF; the only difference is it's real.

Do Tell: Who Have You Had a Crush on That You Shouldn't?

Since we're all anonymous here, I'm curious to know who you've had a crush on that was technically off-limits. Was it your teacher? The guy your friend had a crush on? Or worse, your best friend's husband?

You Asked: I Have an Irrational Fear of Getting Pregnant

Dear Sugar,

I have a rather strange irrational fear. Even though I am on hormonal birth control, use condoms, and never miss a period, I continually fear that I'll somehow magically get pregnant. This fear is quite literally taking over my life, not to mention ruining my otherwise wonderful sex life with my fiancé. I desire sex with him daily, but my fear of getting pregnant is so salient that I either make an excuse to avoid it, or just fall asleep while he is making a pass at me - we end up only have sex twice a week. I have been this way ever since he and I began having sex seven years ago.

My fear comes and goes with varying degrees, but it seems that it is worse during times of high stress. Every twitch, every headache, and every gurgle in my stomach is interpreted to me as a pregnancy sign. I feel like I am so alone. I know that I'm being ridiculous, but I cannot get it out of my mind. I am almost willing to go as far as sterilization to ease this anxiety. Do you have any advice? - Freaking Out Fionna

Dear Freaking Out Fionna,

I'm glad to hear you call this an irrational fear because that's precisely what it is. Sure, there's always a chance you could get pregnant while using the precautionary measures you're using, but that is a very unlikely possibility, especially since you're doubling up on protection. Before you let this affect your relationship anymore than it already has, talk to your fiancé about what's going on - opening up to him will most likely make you feel less alone.

Since stress seems to aggravate your trepidation, do whatever you can to squash your fear whenever your worries surface. Put things into perspective and remember what the statics say about hormonal birth control and condoms. If you can't get control over this fear on your own, I suggest you consult your gyno or see a therapist so you can talk through your anxiety about getting pregnant with a professional. This is clearly taking over your life so it's imperative to nip it in the bud as soon as you can. Good luck.

Jennifer Aniston sat down with her good friend Oprah yesterday to talk about her December Vogue article, her new movie, and of course, her love life. She went on to squash some of the never-ending rumors, but she also voluntarily stated that she considers herself to be lucky in love, even though it may not look how it's supposed to!

Love is multifaceted and while it's easier for some to find than others, I do think there are certain people that just get lucky in that way. Are you one of them?

Obama Fights the Smears One Google at a Time

The Obama campaign is using Google to squash damaging and untrue rumors. By bidding on search terms like "Barack Obama birth certificate," or "Barack Obama as Muslim" Obama makes sure that he gets a word in. At the top of search results for these terms, up pops sponsored links to Obama's "Fight the Smears" website created to debunk the rumors specifically.

McCain strategists have been using Google as an offensive front for some time, bidding on words like "Viet Nam," "US Naval Academy," "POW," and "World War Two." The hope is that people who search those terms will see a McCain for President Ad, visit the website, and ultimately donate to McCain.

Currently, twice as many unique visitors go to Barack's website, compared to McCain's - do you think the race to the White House goes through the Google?

Did John Mayer Do the Right Thing?

Over the weekend, John Mayer tried to clear the air and squash the never ending rumors surrounding his breakup with Jennifer Aniston. Of course, we've heard every reason in the book for why they split, but according to Mayer himself, "There's no lying, there's no cheating. There's no nothing..." In an effort to stand up for her, in my opinion, he also gave her a backhanded compliment when saying, "But it's about time that somebody stands up for that girl and I think she's great."

It's no secret that Jen hasn't been lucky in love these days, and though it was a sweet gesture to defend his ex, do you think John said too much? It sounded like a big pity party to me, but what do you think? If you were in her shoes, would you be thankful or angry by his message to the fans?

You Asked: I'm Tired of Being Afraid

Dear Sugar,

A while back my ex-boyfriend dumped me out of nowhere. I thought we were heading in a good direction and that we were finally getting to know each other. (In fact, less than a week before that happened we had spent our first romantic weekend together.) At the end of one date night on the way back to my place he told me that while he loved hanging out with me and that I was the best girlfriend he has ever had he just doesn't feel "it." While I respected that he told me that instead of leading me on, I was still very hurt.

Now I've started a new relationship after licking my wounds for a little while, but I've discovered that my ex has changed me. I now have this sudden fear of abandonment and I am afraid that my current boyfriend will do the same thing. I've never experienced these kind of fears before. My boyfriend is a great guy, and assures me that he isn't going anywhere; he knows what happened before. But I can't shake this feeling, and I'm afraid that it will ruin my relationship. Every time my boyfriend doesn't return my call immediately a small voice inside my head tells me that maybe it's happening again. I know it's irrational but what can I do? Please help!

Dear Nervous Natalie,

It's important for you to recognize that there are no guarantees in love or life; what happened to you before could happen to you again. But that's a possibility that you have absolutely no control over, and worrying about it won't make a difference. In fact, as you mentioned, worrying about it can put an unnecessary strain on your relationship. But, of course, it's much easier to tell yourself this than to convince yourself that it's true.

If you make the decision to let go of your fears, they'll naturally fade away, so don't hold on to them because you think they'll protect you from having this happen again; they won't. They'll only make you feel sad and scared. Luckily, acknowledging that your fears are irrational is a great step in the process. Now you just have to believe it. Whenever these concerns enter your mind, start squashing them by putting them in perspective. The fact is that even if your worst-case scenario took place, you'd make it through. It might be hard and painful, but in the end, you'd be OK.

I'm glad that you've opened up to your new boyfriend. Definitely keep those lines of communication open, but make sure that you avoid projecting your fears on to him, which could lead to resentment and extra stress. It's going to take some time, but if you can keep reminding yourself that there's no point in worrying, they will eventually disappear for good.

Ever Wondered Why Asians Seem Like Better Students?

A group of eight students at Lincoln High School in Los Angeles hunkered down in a room to talk about a touchy subject: What's behind the Asian math-whiz-valedictorian stereotype - and why do other ethnic backgrounds appear to come up short in the classroom?

Long thought to be traceable to socioeconomic backgrounds that theory no longer makes the grade. At Lincoln High School both the surrounding neighborhood and student body are 15 percent Asian - why then do Asian students make up 50 percent of the Advanced Placement classes, and teachers can’t remember the last time a Latino was valedictorian?

The students' talk about the difference was frank. When talking about a Hispanic student who was good at math one said, "I think Carlos is Asian at heart," and described one Asian student who didn't get good grades as, "Mexican at heart." The students squashed the economic background reasoning, agreeing that of their school, the Latino and Asian students came mostly from poor and working-class families.

Looking further at census data, 84 percent of the Asian and Latino families in the area earn below $50,000 - stumping the fact that the Science Bowl team is 90 percent Asian, as is the Academic Decathlon team.

The students say that Asian parents are more likely to pressure their kids to excel academically. "My parents are always like, 'If you don't do well in school, then it's all going to be worth nothing,' "
Peer expectations also enforce the stereotype. "They expect me to be smart. Even if, like, I do everything wrong on purpose, they still copy off of me - as if I'm right just because I'm Asian."
Research studying the Mexican work ethic found that labor and education occupy the same pedestal of importance, and in some cases work is even more valued, "In Latino families, being able to work to provide defines your manhood, your worthiness."

Do these reasons seem plausible? Is it possible to figure out why stereotypes exist?

These Colors Do Run? Is the USA No Longer a Superpower?

Is America place at the head of the class, finished? Well-known intellectuals, think tank thunkers, and MSM elite seem to think so.

Citing headlines from the Times asking "who shrunk the superpower?" to Fareed Zakaria's book, The Post-American World, and the French foreign minister saying of America's standing, “The magic is over . . . It will never be as it was before." It seems like a logical conclusion: The US Party of A is over. Take the streamers down.

But! According to this piece in World Affairs it's not the first time such talk has been bandied about, and it's hardly cause for panic.

The United States does contend with serious problems at home and abroad, but these prophecies of doom, which spread like a computer virus, hardly reflect a rational appraisal of where we stand. Moreover, it is not too difficult to see the ghosts of declinism past in the current rush to pen America’s epitaph. Gloomsayers have been with us, after all, since this country’s founding.

Though it sure seems like the drumbeat of America fading is a new millennial challenge, it's not. It reared up in the late-18th century from royalists, the 1920s and 30s from fascists, the 1970s from similar challenges to the ones the country is facing today (shored up by Jimmy Carter's malaise speech) and became terribly chic in the 1980s. Bashing America's standing is in like shoulder pads.

Are the "declinists," pointing to the Bush doctrine, over-stretched military, and squashed economy right - is the US out of first place? Or is history just repeating itself?
