Poor Rush Limbaugh. The Democrats are anointing him the true leader of the Republican Party, opening him to ridicule from the left and repudiation from the right. So this dude stepped in to save the frail and demure flower that is Rush, borrowing a page from Chris Crocker's impassioned and hysterical plea for us to "Leave Britney alone!"

Whether you love him or hate him, Rush Limbaugh has been dominating the news cycle. Obama chief of staff Rahm Emanuel fired the first shot in the latest battle this weekend, calling out Rush as the head of the Republican party.
When it came to the surface that RNC chair Michael Steele criticized Rush as an incendiary "entertainer" Steele quickly apologized to Rush, just like Rahm had dictated.

Earlier this week, Rush Limbaugh taunted the Republican leadership, contending that President Obama had more to fear from Rush, than from them. In an interview with Politico, Congressman Tom Price, who leads the Republican Study Committee, came back with some tough words for Rush: It’s easy if you’re Sean Hannity or Rush Limbaugh or even sometimes Newt Gingrich to stand back and throw bricks. You don’t have to try to do what’s best for your people and your party.

President-elect Barack Obama has topped Barbara Walters's list of the Most Fascinating People of 2008. The ABC special aired last night, and last year the honor of Most Fascinating Person went to Harry Potter author JK Rowling. While many people probably agree that Obama is the most fascinating figure of the year, it's somewhat surprising that his opponent John McCain did not make the list.

The House of Representatives will most likely not debate a Republican proposed bill to outlaw the "Fairness Doctrine." The FCC stopped using the Fairness Doctrine, which attempted to ensure equal airtime for different perspectives on controversial issues, during the Reagan Administration. Speaker Nancy Pelosi suggested Tuesday that Democrats would rather revive the federal policy of forced evenhandedness.

Not sure if you caught The Notion link in Link Time about Rush Limbaugh's master plan to help Republicans win. The conservative radio personality urged Texas Republicans to vote for Hillary Clinton in the Democratic primary. On Tuesday night, Rush told Fox News:
