Rodarte - I can't say the name without having images of fashion-forward dresses float before my eyes. Designers Kate and Laura Mulleavy have taken the concept of a gown and turned it upside down, in the best way possible. Their designs manage to be both ethereal and completely funky - and celebs eat them up! The sisters even created the Black Swan costumes, which were inspired by Edgar Degas's Little Dancer statue. Since Fall of 2006, Rodarte's ready-to-wear has gotten more and more sophisticated and elaborate. Why We Covet: Hello, beautiful. We love, really, really love, Jason Wu's feminine and delicate take on womenswear. The dress is gorgeous and sexy from afar, but get up close and that's where you see how special it is. The silk organza dress has a black tulle-covered bodice, and the layered skirt at the waist falls into a gorgeous lace and organza ruffle down the front. The combination of feminine details - lace, boning, ruffles - with the nude, blush, and black colors make this one dreamy and completely sophisticated dress.

Battle of the Catwalk: Stampede vs. Solo Strut

I remember it like it was yesterday - when Dolce & Gabbana's Spring '10 models stampeded down the catwalk, I was mesmerized. One model is great, but a herd of them? Stunning. Likewise, at the TCN show at Cibeles Madrid Fashion Week yesterday, another stampede took place (top left), albeit much more modest than Dolce & Gabbana's. It might not have been as powerful in number, but it still had the same wowing effect. But not every designer is into the catwalk stampede - while it's fun to look at, it makes it harder to focus on the specific pieces. So tell me, which do you prefer - the stampede or solo strut?
