Today Ronald Reagan would have turned 98-years-old! The 40th President of the United States lived a full life, and he played many roles — on-screen as an actor, and in public life as CA's governor and a two-term US president. Perhaps you're not aware that his role as George "The Gipper" Gipp in the 1940 movie Knute Rockne, All American got him the lifelong nickname "The Gipper."

The more things change, the more they stay the same, huh? This week in history, waaaayyy back in 1980, then-presidential candidate Ronald Reagan's children were featured in People magazine — fast-forward to 2008, and while Obama is in Israel meeting with top Israeli and Palestinian leaders on his plans for containing the nuclear threat from Iran and building peace in the Middle East, his daughters are getting their time in the mag.

A bunch of you watched last night's Republican debate last night with me — and there certainly seemed to be at least one thing that annoyed you: When Anderson Cooper got up from his desk, walked over to Ron Paul and Mike Huckabee, bound and gagged them, kicked them a little bit, then spent five minutes pointing and laughing at them. Okay, not really, but the lack of time given to any candidate other than McCain or Romney was definitely a sticking point for a lot of you. Understandable.

While most of us processed Barack Obama's inauguration speech by assessing our emotional or intellectual reactions, you could also evaluate the speech's place in history by taking a close look at its "word cloud." Words like "nation," "common" and "people" revealed Obama's intention to make a wide appeal, while words like "new" and "forward" look like substitutes for his campaign buzzword "change."
When comparing Bush's 2005 speech (the bottom image here) with Obama's, it's obvious that Obama didn't favor any word as much as Bush favored "freedom."
