Disgraced former Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich seems to have spent more time obsessing about his hair than his ethical behavior or political reputation. So the makers of Blago Hair have attempted to cash in on his hair obsession with a volumizing shampoo and conditioner. Given how brief his notoriety, and how unappealing a character he was, I think a quickie t-shirt would have made more sense. What do you think - are Blago haircare products funny or lame?

Maybe there is something to the pseudoscience of face reading! When I first looked at corrupt Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich's face (I like to refer to him as Gov. Doucheblag), the dude who was charged with attempting to sell President-elect Obama's vacant Senate seat to the highest bidder (!!), I immediately thought, OMG, he looks just like Lyle Menendez! All you true-crime aficionados out there know who I'm talking about: Lyle and his brother Erik were charged with murdering their parents and then going on a shopping spree with their credit cards in Beverly Hills in the '90s. Good times . . .

16 Felony Charges For Ex-Governor Rod Blagojevich

Ex-Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich can add racketeering, wire fraud, lying to federal investigators, and extortion conspiracy charges to his resume, which also includes impeachment and appearances on David Letterman and The View.

The 16 felony charges include his scheme to sell President Obama's senate seat. His fundraising brother and two chiefs of staff were also entangled in his ~~hair~~net and charged in the indictment issued today by a federal grand jury.

Blagojevich could spend years in jail if he's convicted. Regardless of the outcome, it appears we'll be seeing more of the man.

Would You Read Rod Blagojevich's Book?

Ousted IL governor Rod Blagojevich is the latest person to ride President Obama's coattails into a literary career. Blagojevich has signed a six-figure deal to pen a book all about replacing Barack Obama in the Senate, a topic also at the center of a federal criminal investigation.

I was hoping the ex-governor would write about his haircare regime, or perhaps put out a book of poems since he loved quoting Rudyard Kipling and Alfred Lord Tennyson during press conferences. I guess I'll settle on a book filling in details left out of those expletive-filled wiretap tapes, such as what made him decide against appointing Oprah.

Details Emerge After Gov. Blagojevich's Arrest

New details have emerged since FBI agents arrested Illinois Gov. Rod R. Blagojevich today on federal corruption charges alleging that he tried to sell Barack Obama's vacant Senate seat.

The FBI affidavit filed in District Court quotes Blagojevich as explaining that the vacant seat "is a f**king valuable thing, you just don't give it away for nothing." On Nov. 11 Blagojevich said that he didn't care that Obama wanted Valerie Jarrett, a longtime confidante, to succeed him, because "they're not willing to give me anything except appreciation. F**k them."
When the FBI called Blagojevich this morning to tell him they were coming to arrest him, he asked: "Is this a joke?"
US Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald, who conducted this investigation along with the Valerie Plame investigation, said at a press conference today: "Gov. Blagojevich has taken us to a new low. This conduct would make [Abraham] Lincoln roll over in his grave."
The Chicago Tribune delayed running its independent investigation of Blagojevich for misconduct, after prosecutors asked them to wait, or risk jeopardizing the criminal investigation. The editor explained that the paper's "interest in reporting the news flows from its larger obligation of citizenship in a democracy."
As for the Obama seat, Blagojevich still has the authority to fill it, but the US Senate could always reject his choice. Illinois Senator Dick Durbin has asked the Illinois state legislature to call for a special election to fill Obama's seat, saying that no appointment by Blagojevich would be credible.

Très Bizarre! Disgraced Governor Puts on an Elvis Show

This weekend former Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich was paid to perform Elvis's "Treat Me Nice" before a group of confused onlookers. Inexplicably, Fabio was also there on stage. While I can't single out the most disturbing thing about Blago's gyrating performance, I do think that the best part comes around the 45-second mark when someone in the audience looks at the camera and mouths: "What the fu*ck?!" Exactly.

Blagojevich to Reality TV - Yay or Nay?

Rod Blagojevich has a new job everybody! Since the whole (alleged) attempt to sell President Obama's Senate seat didn't really work out, Rod has made a deal to star in NBC's new reality show I'm a Celebrity. . . Get Me Out of Here. It's all pending court approval, of course.

The show, which is a big hit in the UK, features 10 celebrities who compete to raise money for their favorite charities. Blagojevich needs the court approval to travel to Costa Rica for filming.

Should Senator Roland Burris Step Down?

Ex-IL governor Rod Blagojevich has cast a net of scandal big enough to cover that hair of his.

Thanks to revelations that (not-quite-ex) IL Senator Roland Burris might not have been honest about how he came to be appointed by Blagojevich, Burris has become increasingly isolated in Washington and in Illinois. The Senate Ethics Committee and the state prosecutor's office are currently investigating him.

After previously denying that he had any inappropriate conversations about the Senate seat, Burris admitted last week that he tried to raise money for Blagojevich while also expressing his interest in Obama's vacant seat.

Burris's lawyers are preparing a document to show that he hasn't changed his story. Something tells me you're in trouble if you have to prepare a document to show you've kept your story straight.
