Should Getting Back Together Be a Tough Decision?

There have been some Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams sightings lately and the rumor mill is working overtime to figure out if they are back together or not, but you might be glad to know that the rumors are true - they are back on!! They seem to be the Hollywood couple everyone was rooting for, but what took them so long to reignite their flame? In my opinion, following your heart shouldn't be that difficult - you either know or you don't, right? Have you ever had to give getting back together with an old love such thought? Do you think it's a bad sign if you do?

Funny Ladies: Ageism Is No Joke

It ain't easy being a funny woman in Hollywood. We've often heard how few good roles are written for women over 35, but the facts really hit home in this video from The Hollywood Reporter's Emmy roundtable featuring women in comedy.

In it, Sarah Silverman talks about auditioning to play Jonah Hill's mother, and Amy Poehler points out that she was just eight years older than Rachel McAdams, who played her daughter in Mean Girls. Not surprisingly, the women lighten the weighty topic with plenty of humor. When Christina Applegate says she was told she was too old for a magazine cover, Silverman jokes "and it was More!"

But seriously, why are women this awesome so often considered over the hill? Why is it easier for men to grow older in Tinseltown?

The Notebook lover has been on and off with his former costar Rachel McAdams, but as of late he's single and ready to mingle.

I'm not sure how I feel about him - do I love his dreamy eyes, or am I turned off by his smirk? (I am sure that I absolutely love this hilarious fan site dedicated to him.) What about you: would you do, dump, or marry, Ryan Gosling?

GiggleSugar Reader Spotlight: GIOVS

GIOVS, GiggleSugar's resident heartthrob and the first guy to be spotlighted, doesn't just look like an Italian movie star, he's also genuinely sweet and silly. We wanted to recognize that GS has male fans, too, and it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy! Be sure to check out his pictures in the gallery at the end of the interview.

GS: What’s your motto?

GIOVS: Life is about the little details. Also, the people that you need to know will appear without a call--they'll just show up.

GS: Where are you from?

GIOVS: I'm from Baja California, in the south of California, specifically from the municipality of Tecate, where Tecate Beer and famous bread is made, and of course, the world knows wines from the Baja peninsula. I have lived here all of my life (I'm 19) but in August I'm going to move to Guadalajara (in the center of México) for university...

GS: What do you do?

GIOVS: I´m a full time student now. A few months ago I worked in Telcel, a mobile communication company, like Cingular or T Mobile, but I left it to go to school. Now I just write articles, and I am working on a book, but I haven't finished it yet.

GS:: What's your book about?

GIOVS:: An epic tale about people from all walks of life and all sexual orientations....

GS: How would you describe your sense of humor?

GIOVS: My sense of humor is a little weird, because some days I laugh at everything, some days I laugh at myself, but I always have a smile for everyone. If someone smiles at you, you have to smile back. You can make anyone happy by smiling at them. My sense of humor is a little grown up for my age. I prefer smart jokes, but whatever, a joke is a joke, and sometimes I like the dumb jokes.

GS: What’s your favorite GiggleSugar post?

GIOVS: I like all the WTF?! and Products Of The Day, but I think I don't have a specific one because I think most of them are great. I visit the site on my laptop in class (GS: Uh oh! We're contributing to the distraction of a student!) and I can´t see the videos because they're too loud, so I prefer pictures. When I go home I watch the videos and I like to read the other members' comments--they are great! Everyone thinks differently about the same thing so it's fun to compare ideas.

GS: Who’s the cutest funny man and funny woman?

GIOVS: For male comedian, I like Tiziano Ferro. For female, Paris Hilton. (GS: Come to think of it, she is a comedian! At least, I'm always laughing at her!)

GS: Who are your favorite male and female comedians?

GIOVS: My favorite male comedian is Adal Ramones, from the TV show "Otro Rollo." The female comedians I love are Tina Fey and Rachel McAdams, but I guess Rachel's more of a dramatic than comedic actress.

GS: What’s your favorite comedy of all time?

GIOVS: I guess Mean Girls, because I like the war between students in the school-- popular, geeks, jocks, etc… I also like the Scary Movie films...

GS: If your life were a comedy, what would it be?

GIOVS: I think Mean Girls. When I worked, they told my friend and me that we were like characters in the film. My friend Richard is the Mean one, my friend Grys (a Sugar member, too) is the Meaner, but everybody says I’m the Meanest! I can handle that! Hahahaha...

GS: Do you look like someone famous?

GIOVS: I don´t know, sometimes when I’m at the mall people will ask if they can take pictures with me, say hello or just stare at me, but I don´t know who they're confusing me with. (GS: They're staring at you because you're cute! ) A cousin says I look like this guy Roger, a Latin ZZ Disney Channel host, but I don´t think so.

GS: Free for all. I could say so many things. I feel honored to be selected as the reader of the week. This is a large community, we're all so different with different ideas. We all think differently because our minds are as diverse as the whole world. I hope to meet people from many places because I like to know different people's opinions about the same thing. People inspire me to write. Don´t ever shut up--scream what you think because the world can be better if we want it to be. I appreciate the Sugar Network because it's a place where I can share my ideas and learn new ones. My goal would be to have my own column, but if not, we have the forums, the comments and the polls to share with each other. Lindsb is under our spotlight this week. She's sweet, funny, and observant. (Example: she noticed there was bacon--along with sausage and cheese--in the Heart Attack Lover's Pizza post, and noted that Robot Cat looked like Sabrina the Teenage Witch's spooky talking cat.) We appreciate our readers who talk back and love getting to know them! And be sure to check out the photo gallery at the end of the interview.

GS: What’s your motto?
Lindsb: "The most tiring exercise in the world is carrying yesterday on your back." It's so true. You can't worry about the past - gotta live for the future.

GS: Where are you from?
Lindsb: I am from Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania. It used to be a small farming town wedged in between a few mountains. These days, it is less of a farming town and more of a.. well, a small town wedged between two mountains. I remember it being torturous in High School - but I moved back after college because I missed it so much! Although the shopping blows and the most of the men are missing teeth, I love the nature. (GS: What's a few teeth? )

GS: What do you do?
Lindsb: I am an Account Manager for a Telecommunications company in the area. Not my dream job...I went to school for Advertising, but.. I have to pay off the school loans before I can afford to do what I love.

GS: How would you describe your sense of humor?
Lindsb: Hmm, dry. I definitely fit the "East Coast Sarcasm" stereotype.

GS: What’s your favorite GiggleSugar post?
Lindsb: I love a lot of things on GiggleSugar. The caption contests (What The Hell Is Going On Here?) are always entertaining. There is this one clip my sister pointed out to me that I can't stop watching. It was called Not Your Typical Walk in the Park. That's a great one.

GS: Who’s the cutest funny man and funny woman?
Lindsb: Jon Stewart! Funny and smart = über sexy. Chelsea Handler is a pretty good looking funny woman.

GS: Who are your favorite male and female comedians?
Lindsb: Zach Galifianakis shreds me. He's so awkward and witty. Wanda Sykes is a really funny woman. I'll go her on this one. For now...

GS: What’s your favorite comedy of all time?
Lindsb: I love Young Frankenstein. (GS: It's one of my favorites, too, Lindsb.) I don't know that it's my favorite of all time - but it's up there. I love stand up--Eddie Murphy's "Delirious", David Cross' "Shut Up..", etc.

GS: If your life were a comedy, what would it be?
Lindsb: Haha. Whenever my family and I travel together - there is always disaster. From sleeping on subway benches because we missed our connection to squeezing all six of us into a NYC taxi (meaning someone laid on the taxi floor) that didn't have heat in order to make it home for Christmas (the ride was 3 hours). I would say, my life is like Planes, Trains, and Automobiles half of the time. Haha. The other half of it reminds me of "The New Adventures of Old Christine." Occasionally absurd and undeniably fun.

GS: Do you look like someone famous?
This boy once told me I looked like Rachel McAdams, but I'm pretty sure he only told me that to get into my pants. Haha. I don't really think I look like her, but I wish I did. I've totally got a girl crush on her.

I am 24. I love being outdoors, although you wouldn't know it by how much I am on this site! I love to travel, kayak, hike, read, and listen to records. Oh, and I love animals. I've recently passed my Sugar addiction onto my lovely sister, Stacey (strzchic14), and guess what? Giggle is her favorite, too!
