Buzz Lines: What's Your Favorite Quote From Pulp Fiction?

Though Quentin Tarantino's classic 1994 film Pulp Fiction is full of violent scenes, it also has quite a bit of drawn-out dialogue. The film follows the intersecting tales of a handful of characters, including bad-ass hit men Jules (Samuel L. Jackson) and Vincent (John Travolta), who utter their lines with so much ease and attitude, it's hard not to quote them. Check out a few of the lines I've found myself repeating over the years, and then make sure to include your own in the comments!

Halloween Costume Idea: Mia From Pulp Fiction

The costume: Mia Wallace
If ever there was an easy-to-put-together Halloween costume, it's Uma Thurman's Mia Wallace character from Pulp Fiction. And if ever there was a sexy movie poster, it's this one. (Well, smoky treat aside.)

Hair and makeup: Uma famously wore Chanel's classic Vamp nail polish for the flick, and Revlon's red-black Vixen polish is another possibility. Of course, you'll also need a black, pageboy-style wig and plenty of '90s-trendy brick-red lipstick. To finish, use a touch of black liner and mascara to set the bad-girl mood.

What to wear: All it takes is three basics: a black v-neck t-shirt, capris, and a pair of sky-high stilettos. Add a black, corded choker with a red pendant, and you'll be Quentin Tarantino's latest muse in no time flat.

Take it to the next level: Speaking of flat(s), for a Jack Rabbit Slims Twist Contest version, just substitute the heels for black flats, and the black tee for a long, white button-down. And you really want to get gory, carry around a faux needle for your shot of adrenaline later on in the evening.

Community's Pulp Fiction Homage

This week's episode of Community may have been more of an homage to the flick Dinner With Andre than it was to Pulp Fiction, but we did get to see how fantastic the cast looked in character. Toward the end, there was just a little bit of Britta and Jeff re-creating the iconic dance contest scene between Mia Wallace and Vincent Vega. Though I wish we could have seen more, it made me nostalgic for the original scene (and the movie, which I'll be rewatching pretty soon, too). Relive it now!

Community Does Pulp Fiction: See How the Cast Stacks Up to the Original!

Community is always full of pop culture references, and on tonight's episode, they're going big and taking on Tarantino. Titled "Critical Film Studies," the episode features the cast dressed as characters from Pulp Fiction! I have pictures of Britta, Annie, Chang, Troy, Shirley, and Pierce as the film's iconic players, and I've taken it one step further by showing them with the original actors as well. Check them out!

I have to admit that I'm jealous of BuzzSugar Community member sunkiss06. I have wanted to dress up as Mrs. Mia Wallace for a long time, and she pulled it off with a friend dressed as Vincent Vega, no less (I certainly hope they danced)! She submitted her Pulp Fiction Halloween to my fun seasonal group My Best Pop Culture Halloween Costume, which is getting fabulous entries every day.

A Fabby Halloween: Mrs. Mia Wallace

Her name is Mrs. Mia Wallace. She has a penchant for vanilla milkshakes, winning dance competitions, and a certain white powder. Since 1994, when Uma Thurman played the iconic character in Pulp Fiction, hundreds of Halloween costumes have channeled Mrs. Mia. The look is easy: all you need is a straight-banged black wig, a white button-down, black bra, and cropped black pants. Apply a little red lipstick, and Chanel Vamp nail polish is a must - Mia did launch the color into smash-hit popularity, after all.

Don't forget, Mrs. Mia aced the dance competition with John Travolta's character Vince at the 50s-themed restaurant Jack Rabbit Slim's, so you'll need some groovy moves. Check out the movie clip I added below for inspiration. And if you end up talking to someone at a Halloween party you don't really want to be stuck with, you can thank the drug-addled Mrs. Mia for your exit quote: "I have to go powder my nose."

Buzz In: What Pop Culture Costumes Did You See This Year?

Now that Halloween Monday and the weekend of parties has passed, it's time to talk about all the costumes you saw! In my neck of the woods, I saw several different Black Swan costumes, which was also a hot one in Hollywood, as evidenced by Lea Michele's white swan version here.

Besides Natalie Portman's split personality from the Oscar-winning flick, there also seemed to be lots of Kate Middletons and Toddlers & Tiaras tributes, which are pretty topical. There were also plenty of classic pop culture costumes, like Raoul Duke from Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and Mia Wallace from Pulp Fiction. But I want to hear more from you guys - what pop culture costumes did you see (or wear) this year?
