And by "rolling," I mean he stops her career aspirations dead in their tracks without permission. Her response? Let's just say it isn't the kick in the groin I was hoping for.

Our friends over at College Humor were in an ongoing prank war when one of the dudes took a joke way too far. He figured out when his buddy was taking his girlfriend to a Yankees game and arranged to have a fake marriage proposal flash on the Jumbotron in front of 57,545 fans. The dude's girlfriend was elated by the announcement, the dude was baffled, and our prankster couldn't help but laugh and pat himself on the back. It was all too cruel to be true - but the prank was for reals. Boys will be boys . . .

Let me get this straight: a relatively attractive, young, self-made millionaire living in Las Vegas needs the matchmaker's help to find a gold-digging sweetheart? Makes absolutely no sense, but we'll roll with it. So Patti, our matchmaker, sets him up with a hot chick. They rendezvous in Vegas for a first date, he proposes, she accepts, and they live happily ever after. Well, not until he coughs up that "nice rock" she's so desperately pining for cuz, you know, ~~love~~ bling is a many-splendored thing.

"YES!" Talk about shooting two birds with one stone. This guy manages to land on the coveted "100" while spinning the "Price Is Right" wheel, while coaxing a "yes" out of his bride-to-be. That's what I call multi-tasking! (I love how "$1,000" flashes over his beloved.)

Remember playing the game "telephone" as a child? You whisper something to the person next to you who whispers it to the person next to them, and then by the time it reached the last person, the message was totally distorted. Here's an adult version, with an adult outcome. 59 people repeat a message one man sends to his ultimate recipient - the woman he wants to marry.

Public proposals often seem staged or end unhappily, but this whisper campaign, though it takes a while to complete, has a happy ending and was surprisingly moving to me. Hooray for the happy couple!

A dude has to be darn confident that she'll say "yes" in order to pop the question during a televised basketball game, in front of a packed stadium and millions of viewers at home. But Romeo here had it wrong. Our gal wasn't ready. She didn't even have the courtesy to take the ring and at least pretend to say "yes" for all the cheering fans in the stands. Could someone please get homeboy on bended knee a beer? And a Snickers bar for me.

I-Do Don'ts: Don't Turn Your Marriage Proposal Into a Musical

Oh, the magic. You want to propose to your girlfriend in public? Fine. Do it in a restaurant. Do it on top of the Empire State Building. Do it on the street in Disney World. But for Peter Pan's sake do not turn it into an improv musical and horrify your sweet bride-to-be into saying yes.

I have my doubts about how real this is, but it's still terrifying! A middle-aged woman in a wheelchair zips into center~~stage~~ street while pointing at the girl and singing. And, then, proposal man can't find the ring. Did he lose it? Did he give to you? Or you, or you, or you? No! It's all part of the act. In sweeps a street cleaner who chirps "I might have it!" Right here in this used cup.
