Getting Noisy in the Bedroom

A recent post on About.com's Sexuality Blog considers the moans we make when we're getting it on. The post specifically recalls a study completed by Dr. Roy Levin, a sexologist, who determined that there were many reasons to make noise while in the throws of passion. According to the post, Levin's list of common motives include:

Conveying information to our partner about our arousal levels, what we like, and what we don’t.

Increasing our sexual arousal levels and/or that of our partner(s).

Enhancing the experience of pleasure (referred to as “hedonic amplification”).

Facilitating other arousal systems.

Adding to Levin's findings, the blog also mentions physical exertion as a possible and more basic explanation for noise during intercourse, likening sexy moans to the grunts of tennis players. Whatever the case may be, there's something extremely intimate about the noises of lovemaking that most people either find incredibly sexy or uncomfortable and awkward. I think it can be a bit of both depending on who it's coming from!

Sex: Morning vs. Evening

Some people like morning sex better than evening sex - it's an ongoing debate that I could talk about all day long. It all boils down to personal preference so I thought it'd be fun to list the pros and cons of each! Now these are just my opinions, so tell me what you think in the comments below. Are you more of a morning person or do you enjoy sex at night more?

	Pros	Cons
Morning Sex	It's a relaxing and fun way to wake up (so much better than an alarm clock). Since your mind and body are still sleepy and dreamy, all your physical sensations will feel more intense. Since it's a workout, all those released endorphins are way better than a cup of coffee!	Since there's not much time for foreplay, morning sex usually just ends up being a quickie, which can leave you sexually frustrated and late for work. Since many women feel self-conscious about what they look like, the morning light might be a deterrent. Morning breath is not the biggest turn on, at least in my book! If you're not a morning person, you may be too tired and cranky to want to have sex.

Evening Sex	It's a great way to end your day with a smile. Since you don't have to get to work until the morning, you won't feel rushed. Nighttime is the perfect time to light some candles and create a sexy mood. All that hard work will tire you out so you can fall asleep more easily.	You may be too tired or stressed out from working all day to really get in the mood. Sometimes getting your heart pumping can make it hard to fall asleep. If your sexcapade lasts late into the night, you're sure to be exhausted the next day.

Dear Poll: Do You Like Men With Gray Hair?

I think gray-haired men can be incredibly sexy. Salt and pepper is my favorite, especially on a beard. When a man embraces his gray, I think it exudes confidence, character and wisdom.

On the other hand, some women don't find it attractive at all. They view gray hair as an indication of old age, so ladies, tell me, do you find men with gray hair attractive or do you feel it ages them a bit too much for your liking?

Dear Poll: Do You Prefer a Man or Woman Gyno?

Visiting the gyno is never fun, but liking your doctor can make it a whole lot less painful. Some women feel that having a female doctor is the only way to go: they know about the woman's body first hand, they can sympathize with everything you're experiencing, and they are easier to talk to, but other women are more old fashioned and feel a male physician is more trustworthy, so ladies, tell me which sex do you prefer? Do you like going to a male or female gynecologist?

I have finally broken my spell, but there was a while there when I seemed to date the same type of guy over and over again, even though I knew they were not good for me. They were all Leos with very strong personalities, slightly cocky, and they all loved to played games. I think everyone has a "type" of guy they like, so what I want to know is, do you tend to date the same type of guy over and over again?

I have a friend who recently went from naturally brunette to shockingly blond, all because she was having a tough time in the dating department. She heard guys prefer blondes and thought changing her hair color may help change her luck. Have you heard that too? I definitely have, and although I don't necessarily agree with my friend's impulsive approach to finding a boyfriend, the idea does intrigue me, as it did author Jena Pincott. When it comes to preferred methods of contraception among women, condoms have now caught up to the contraceptive pill in the UK. According to a new survey, condoms and the pill are equally popular among women, and those who said they preferred condoms cited its ability to protect against STDs. Of course I'm sure many cautious women use both methods, and with all the other contraception options out there, maybe you use neither! But if you had to choose between the condom and the pill, which do you prefer?
