Pygmy hogs, described by one conservationist as shy and "enigmatic," stand only 10 inches tall and weigh only about 13-20 pounds. Few are thought to exist in the wild.
"The practice of indiscriminate dry-season annual burning and uncontrolled livestock grazing," said conservationist William Oliver, "threatens the last surviving wild population of pygmy hogs in Manas [National Park in Assam, a northeastern state in India] and, if continued, will doubtless also affect many other threatened and sensitive grassland species."

Kingsford the house piglet seems to rule the roost, even though he's so little he seems to get lost in the carpet! Watch as he sucks on his bottle, harasses the house cat, and takes a trip to the beach. Oh, Kingsford.

If anyone gets me off my bacon habit, it's going to be this ridiculously cute and smart pig, Mudslinger. I love him almost as much as Arnold Ziffle, the little stamp-collecting pig from one of the best shows ever made, Green Acres. (On a side note, Mackenzie Phillips and Lori Petty on the same show?

How could we forget the piglet who wears her heart in her hair? Yep, our gal was born with a prominent heart-shaped birthmark just before Valentine's Day and we now have video footage of this oinker in action. See Valentine try to outsmart an itch that she just can't scratch, wag her itty bitty tail, and hiccup here and there.

Some tv stations rejected this commercial. Why? Maybe because it implies that all men are pigs?

Some people may think that getting invited to an Oscars after party or the Met Costume Institute Gala in New York City means they've arrived. That's because they haven't witnessed what is the event of the season: the Guinea Pig Watermelon Eating Party. (Clothing optional!) All you have to do is bring your cute little muzzle, some funny noises, and lots of enthusiasm.

There's enough to go around, but it's every guinea for himself in this food fight-- and these are a bunch of pigs, indeed! I guess "sharing" was never covered in the guinea pig code of conduct. Keep in mind that this tacky tug-of-war is all over...a cucumber?!
