During Fall Out Boy's Madison Square Garden concert over the weekend, Pete Wentz officially laid down the flat iron and sounded the death knell heard 'round high schools everywhere: "This is the death of the Emo haircut," he proclaimed, before Blink-182 bassist Mark Hoppus shaved off the stick-straight strands that have been his trademark for a while.

Some find the singer and husband of Ashlee hot because of his hair, others in spite of it. Regardless of what his head looks like now, what about the man underneath the mop?

We certainly know how Ashlee Simpson would answer this question (congrats to the newlyweds), but among most women, Pete Wentz is a polarizing figure. Do you find his guyliner sexy? Is his devotion to Ashlee endearing? Or would you give this Fall Out Boy the boot? Tell me ladies, would you do, dump or marry Pete Wentz?

Ashlee Simpson has been sporting a diamond ring on her left ring finger, which has recently caused quite a stir. Theydebunked engagement rumors yesterday, setting the record straight and clearing up the confusion - the ring is actually a promise ring, not an engagement ring. Ashlee was quoted saying, "it just means that he (Pete Wentz) hasn't asked my dad yet."

This got me thinking - what's the point of buying an expensive ring to wear on the same ring finger as an engagement ring if you're not going to just pop the question? I mean isn't a promise ring just delaying the inevitable? Clearly I don't see the point in taking this step but what about you? What's your take on promise rings?

Obama's Star Power: Senator Leahy and Fall Out Boy?

What do you get when you cross Senator Patrick Leahy with rocker Pete Wentz? A very strange combo of endorsements for Barack Obama. Joining a star-studded list that includes Oprah and Scarlett Johansson, Senator Patrick Leahy (D-VT), chairman of the judiciary committee, (a senatorial-equivalent rock star,) announced his endorsement of Obama today.

Next Tuesday, Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz is hosting his own fund-raiser for Obama in his home state of Illinois. With guyliner or without, this rocker (who considers himself both "liberal," and "apolitical,") tossed his support to the candidate. Though according to MTV, Pete considers Obama a fall-back choice:

"To find a candidate that I completely agreed with, I'd have to run myself. And I'm not sure people would be ready for tax-free ice cream and 'Macho Man' Randy Savage as the secretary of state."

Dear Poll: Would You Want to Date Your Best Friend?

Pete Wentz was recently quoted talking up his great relationship with girlfriend Åshlee Simpson to People Magazine. Since there are so many break ups in Hollywood, I must say it was quite refreshing to hear Pete talk about how amazing it is to be able to kiss your best friend.

When you date someone and spend most of your time with that person, it's inevitable that you become the best of friends, but what about starting off as friends first? Since no relationship is guaranteed to make it for the long haul, do you think it's a good idea to risk a friendship when it comes to taking a chance with romance?

Is "Guyliner" Sexy?

Pete Wentz, Fall Out Boy bassist, recently told gay mag "The Advocate" that he loved wearing "girl pants and makeup." As you can see from the picture below, he's not the only dude who likes to wear eyeliner. Straight-ish guys wearing eyeliner is an old rock 'n roll cliché, but, tell me, is "guyliner" sexy?
