It's obvious that I'm pretty open about anything involving sex or intimacy, but when it comes to bizarre sex acts like golden showers, I'm going to pull the prude card. If you're not familiar with this intimate act, it's when you or your partner urinate on the other person. The whole idea is that warm liquid sensations feel good, and peeing can give you an additional sense of relief. It can also be a way to show power or dominance over someone, which some people find very hot. It's also considered taboo or weird, and that may attract people to want to do it even more!

So I was wondering how you feel about golden showers. Does the idea disgust you? Intrigue you? Has anyone ever requested that you urinate on them or that you let them do it to you?

Peeing is now a novelty act! Our innovative friends in Japan made an arcade game out of a simple visit to the urinal. A dude stands and pees into the mouth of a moving clown while creepy circus music plays along- for atmosphere, I suppose. All "eww!" aside, this just ain't practical. Men have a terrible time keeping aim and staying on target when the loo is stationary, so this is asking for a mess. . .but I guess that's the point of the game.

While it's a good idea to visit the powder room after you have sex to prevent a UTI, I'm sorry to burst your bubble but it can't prevent you from becoming pregnant. For a short anatomy lesson here, the hole you pee out of is connected to your urethra and the hole that you have sex with leads to your uterus. As my junior high gym/sex ed teacher told me and my fellow terrified classmates, "They're two separate holes!" Peeing after sex may help to flush out bacteria from your urethra, but it doesn't do anything to flush out semen that has been ejaculated inside you.

Dear's Advice: Definitely pee before and after sex to prevent a UTI, but when it comes to preventing an unplanned pregnancy, use a reliable form of birth control.
