The scenic eye candy starring in Woody Allen's new movie Midnight in Paris made me want to book a trip abroad ASAP. Instead, I'm living vicariously through a friend who's planning an adventure to Paris on her own. Freshly single and getting ready to start a new job, she figures now's her chance to embrace her independence and experience the benefits of traveling alone. Wandering the city of lights as she pleases, she'll be free to reflect on herself and her surroundings, or you know, meet some handsome locals.

From California wine country to Montreal, we've already explored destinations for romantic getaways. But where would you go if you wanted to get away from everything and everyone you know, if only for a week or so?

The love hotel trend is very popular in Japan, where many young people living with their parents have a hard time finding alone time. There, you can rent themed rooms inspired by anything from Hello Kitty S&M, to the Titanic, to a gynecologist's office (really). But the Parisian offerings promise to be romantic, charming, and luxurious. The site dayusehotels.com lists all hotels in the City of Lights offering rooms by the hour.

The My Little Paris daily newsletter proposes that you send your lover a text on Valentine's Day saying "Rendezvous at 1 p.m. at this address." When he meets you there, he'll be surprised that you've secured a hotel room. I have to admit, it sounds kind of hot. But could you bring yourself to secure an hourly hotel room, even in Paris?

Forget the Ritz. If you're looking for an unforgettable place to stay in Paris, the Seven Hotel it is.

Paris is known for exuding Old World charm -- cathedrals, cafes, cobblestone streets. History reigns and modern glam is mostly reserved for art and fashion movements in this French city.

The Seven Hotel, located near the Latin Quarter, is a total exception.

The 28-room designer hotel has seven sexed-up suites -- and we are still deciding which one we would book! You've got serene palettes in the "On/Off" and "Sublime" suites, and sultry ones in the "007" and "Black Diamond" ones. In the "Marie Antoinette" and "Alice" suites, childlike fantasies are played out in the decor.

Here, we take a look inside a few of our favorites. Where would you prefer to bunk after gazing at art inside the Louvre or sipping a demitasse of cafe in front of a charming little cafe?

007 Suite

After a leisurely romantic dinner at a restaurant in the Montmartre neighborhood, take your man to this clever space. With purple walls, curvy trim and a television showing all of the films in the 007 series, this suite is a place to play. While 007 himself didn't have an iPod docking station or an espresso machine, you will.

And when you're ready to retire -- James Bond style -- go the mid-century modern lounge across the room from the sleep space. Check out pics below. We love the revolver turned lampbase, and the bathroom, which has a chair in the glass shower -- how risque!
