A record crowd of 1.5 million dancing, happy revelers celebrated at Germany's Love Parade held Saturday in Dortmund, Germany. A Summer tradition held for the first time in Berlin in 1989 just after the wall came down, it started as an expression of a changing Europe and was originally a political demonstration for peace and global understanding through music.
That music thumped this weekend from 37 floats and 250 DJs as the wildly costumed participants kept the peace demonstration, peaceful.

It only made sense to me to pit America's least favorite dads against each other in the battle for who's douchier.
On the one hand, there's Jon Gosselin of Jon and Kate Plus Eight fame. This man had no problem parading his children around on reality television when he was still on the payroll, but now that he's getting cut out of the show, he refuses to let his wife continue on without him.

June is Gay Pride Month, a time when the LGBT community and its supporters celebrate its heritage, culture, and liberation. Cities around the world typically hold festive "pride parades" where members of the community show that they are proud of their sexuality and gender identity. But some supporters believe that the spirit of such parades furthers the stereotypes that homosexuals are flamboyant, sex-crazed deviants.
