Nude is sexy - sometimes. But nude clothing? Not sexy, ever. What would compel someone to cover up a bona-fide birthday suit with a cheap ass knock-off tank? Très Bizarre: Man Charged For Being Naked in His Kitchen

Spending more time around the house naked might be good for the planet, but it could also land you in jail. The state of Virginia has charged Eric Williamson, 29, with indecent exposure for hanging out nude in his own home.

Early Monday morning, around 5:30 a.m., a naked Eric was making a cup of Joe in his kitchen. At the same time, a woman and her 7-year-old boy happened to walk through Eric's front yard. She called the police, who quickly arrived on the scene and arrested Eric. The reporting officers must have given Eric a chance to get dressed, because he's wearing clothes in his mug shot.

The police say that Eric wanted the strangers to see him naked. If prosecutors can prove that, Eric might be sentenced to a year in jail and a $2,000 fine. Considering it was so early in the morning and still dark out, it seems unlikely that he was standing in his kitchen naked waiting for random passersby to catch a glimpse. I doubt Eric will be convicted, but he still must be pretty upset about the whole situation. Perhaps the lady cutting through his lawn should be the one facing the law!

Dear Poll: Sex With Socks On?

We all have our pet peeves, and mine have to do with socks. I don't like socks with sandals and I don't like socks with sex. I wish I could explain why nudity with socks bother me, but I have no logical explanation for it. All I know is that when a guy is totally nude, except for his socks, I'm automatically turned off. And though I've talked to others that feel the same way as I do, I've encountered an entire group of people who have sex with their socks on all the time; they like their toes warm I guess. So now I have to ask you: How do you feel about socks on - and only socks - during sex?

Would You Go Nude a Few Hours a Day to Save the Planet?

Need a way to save money, save the planet, and keep cool now that Summer's officially here? Try going nude a few hours a day.

A member of the Naturist Society explains:

"Living more hours naked each day results in a dramatic drop in my laundry, which in turn reduces my water and energy use (along with my related bills). It also reduces the amount of soap I release, in my case, into the Puget Sound."

Since I have to get dressed everyday to go to work, I'm not sure I would have a major impact by going nude at home a few hours a day. I could find time to dirty fewer clothes on the weekends . . . but I have a feeling my roommates would protest.

Carla Bruni Offers Another Cautionary Tale Against Racy Pics

While Carla's away, French thieves are at play.

Hundreds of intimate photos and some videos of the French first lady were stolen from the apartment of her ex-lover's brother this week. The racy images were recorded during her relationship with philosopher Raphael Enthoven, who is also the father of her son. Before she was with Raphael, she was involved with his father. But I digress.

Since her more wild days, Carla has been trying to tone down her image. Instead of taking X-rated photos, Mrs. Sarkozy is now photographed fully clothed (in designer digs) on official state visits. But this isn't the first time the public has been reminded of her risqué past. Last year a photographer released nude photos of the first lady.

Eco-Nudists Go Naked to Save the Planet & Paltrow's Fur Furor

Want to help the planet? Then what are you doing sitting there all dressed and everything? The newest wave in eco-activism is all natural, sans a stitch of clothing. Gwyneth Paltrow may be wishing she'd followed that example after her deal with Italian designer Tod's and resulting ad showing her wearing fox fur and fur-lined boots has earned her heat from animal rights groups.

Gwyneth has been known for her embrace of holistic practices, yoga, vegetarian husband, and pal and vegan designer, Stella McCartney - but this campaign stands to erase that cred. The director of Respect for Animals, said: "Gwyneth Paltrow should be ashamed. I can only assume that Paltrow either is ignorant of the facts or lacks human decency and compassion." Friends have even said that Gwyneth's decision will flay her close friendship with Stella McCartney.

Not satisfied with the casual sun-bathing reputation of nudists, Econudes.org have embraced the naked as the ultimate way to erase your carbon footprint. After all, clothes (and everything that goes into making and transporting them) are a major cause of climate change. Take those off, and the planet might be happier. It's apparently an ancient practice dating all the way back to the 70s when nudism was defined as "a way of life in harmony with nature, characterised by self-respect, respect for others and for the environment."

If warming skepticism is more your schtick, you can shuck your socks for that too, sort of. A renegade group called Nudists Opposing Winter actually like the warmer weather because, well, it's nicer to be nude. The founder "Pantsless James" says, "we actively support pro-global warming places and companies. No longer will nudists be forced into the fetish of clothes wearing. It frees up everybody to go clothing-free, the way God intended."

Silliness aside, is nudity a good way to bring attention to the strain on the planet we wear on our backs everyday? Is Gwyneth's endorsement deal a slap to animals? Should we all just go-go naked?

A Do or Don't: Visiting a Nude Beach With Your Honey

I am well aware that public nudity at beaches occurs, but I don't think any amount of coercion (or cosmos) could make me bare my business for all the world to see. It's not that I'm prude, I'm just private, and what's under my clothes is only for lucky lovers to see. If I shed my clothes for everyone in broad daylight, including the man I was with, well then our alone, naked time wouldn't seem as special. I guess I feel that nudity is for intimacy only - not a public affair.

So would you bare it all under the sun with your significant other? Do you think visiting a nude beach is exciting in a sexual way, or do you think it doesn't leave anything to the imagination?

Here are some tips on how to build a classy lingerie wardrobe.

Lingerie can be expensive, so build your collection slowly
Every women should have plenty of the essentials: Seamless t-shirt bras, seamless thongs, seamless full back underwear -- in nude, black, and white -- and a few boy shorts for sleeping or lounging in
Certain pieces of clothing require special underwear. Every woman should own a simple slip in black and nude, and a few different styles of Spanx and a deep v-neck cut bra. Nylons are a thing of the past, but opaque tights have made a serious come back so keep a few pairs handy in the cooler months
Our body's shape changes constantly, so make sure you get a professional bra fitting regularly
Once the basics are purchased, I recommend investing in a few sexy, more fancy pieces of lingerie. Since this kind of underwear isn't meant to be worn everyday (unless you're feeling extra saucy that is) splurge on a matching bra and panty set, a silk nightie, or an amazing garter belt and sheer silk stockings -- it's a great way to spice things up in the bedroom!
Always hand wash your intimates and never put them in the dryer. Lay them flat to dry and wrap them up in tissue so they don't snag in your drawer

Actors and actresses get paid the big bucks to star on the silver screen but oftentimes they are forced out of their comfort zone with the characters they portray. Whether it's playing the role of someone deeply traumatized, having to sit through hours of prosthetics everyday, or even being asked to take their clothes off, sometimes it's just part of the job at hand. Some actors make it a point to stand their ground against nudity while others are proud to drop trou, so if you were a Hollywood actor, would you do a nude scene?
