Not a Fan of Sex Before Bed? Try This

When I posted about the pros and cons of morning and evening sex, many of you commented about how much you love getting it on in the morning, which made me think that a lot of you aren't huge fans of getting busy before you go to bed. Well I'm back with some tips to make sex in the evening more appealing.

If you have too much on your mind to feel sexy, write a list of your thoughts in a journal before you get into bed. If you're thinking about tomorrow, make a to-do list -it'll feel like a huge weight has been lifted off your shoulders.
Finish dinner at least two hours before you plan on heading into the bedroom. That way you'll have enough time to digest and you can avoid that bloated, full feeling, which can make you not feel like being touched.
Make it a quickie. Who said you have to have a two-hour romp session? Remember that even 10 minutes of sex will relieve tension and help you fall asleep faster.

Do some yoga or other gentle exercise after dinner. It will help to clear your mind and put you in a relaxed mood.
Take a shower together before bed. You'll feel clean and refreshed, and all that nakedness is sure to lead to something!
If you're too sleepy once you finally hit the hay, make it a point to get to bed a little earlier. You'll have more energy to give to your loved one, and you won't be worried about staying up too late.
If you're a fan of sex before bed but your partner's not, offer to give him a back massage. He won't have to do anything, and in between rubbing his muscles, you can kiss his back and arms. It's sure to put him in the mood!

A while back I talked about the pros and cons of morning and evening sex. Now I happen to be a fan of both but if you've never been into getting it on in the a.m, here are some ways you can help make morning sex more desirable.

If morning breath is a turn off for you, who says you have to kiss on the lips? Kissing everywhere else can be a real turn on too, especially on the neck, ears, chest, and back.
If kissing on the lips is a must for you, keep some mints or gum in your nightstand drawer.
Morning sex doesn't have to happen immediately upon waking, so don't worry if you have to visit the ladies room. Just do it quickly and then hop right back into bed!

If you're always short on time in the mornings, set your alarm a little earlier. Sex is a great way to "snooze."
If brightness turns you off, get some thick curtains that block out the morning sun. That way when you wake up, it'll still feel dark and cozy.
If you're into morning sex but your partner's not, wake him up in the sexiest way you know how, tell him you've been dreaming about him all night and I guarantee it'll make him feel in the mood, too.
If you do like morning sex but it's lost its charm, try having it every once in a while. That way when you do have it, it'll be like unwrapping a sweet treat.

Decked out in a "I Heart Famous People" ball cap, he makes a habit of appearing outside the courthouses of all the newsworthy celeb trials. His mission is to voice his support, make a scene and give everyone a huge headache (excluding those of us who find him highlarious). I heart him. Domestic Violence Linked to Football Losses

Sitting around with the family watching football is a favored Thanksgiving tradition. But new research reveals that football spectating is not always pleasant: losses have a statistical link to a rise in domestic violence. The study, which matched 12 years worth of team records with local domestic violence rates, suggests that a painful loss can trigger moments of anger in fans, causing them to lash out. Here are some of the findings:

When a team favored to win loses, there is an eight percent increase in intimate partner violence in the hometown state (the study only looked at states with one team).
The increase in violence comes in the hours immediately following the loss.
When the loss is against a traditional rival, the spike in violence doubles.
The rate spike also doubles following losses in games with a lot of turnovers and penalties.

But don't call for a ban on football quite yet - the experts reasonably point out that emotional games might just set off violence that would otherwise happen later. So while this information enlightens us about occasions that put women at higher risk of suffering domestic violence, it doesn't exactly tell us more about how to address the root causes. What do you make of it?
