Whoopi, Whoopi, Whoopi. Is there a Door # 3 I can choose? I know this was the 80's and all --oh, wait this is the 1993 Oscars, there goes your excuse!-- but why would a bright purple dress, with acid green lining, no less, need a panel you can open onto...metallic paisley leggings?

In 1999, Celine Dion was nominated for her song "My Heart Will Go On" in the mega-hit Titanic. Why she showed up in an outfit that gives new meaning to the expression "back asswards" I'm really not sure. Woman's pantsuit from the front, man's suit from the back, this fashion disaster by John Galliano, the fabulous English designer for Dior, must've been a prank.

In 2001, Bjork was up for an Oscar for her dark role in Dancer in the Dark. You'd think she was nominated for a comedy role in this getup. Love your music, Bjork, usually love your style, but even the dead swan looks like he's trying to hide his head in shame.
