Jason Segel Asks Disease-Free Concertgoers to Call Him

Jason Segel became friends with the Swell Season - the duo behind the music in Once - when he sent them wine in an LA restaurant. So last night when the band played in LA, the members asked him to write and sing a song for his audience. "Advice?" he asked. "Give as much personal information as possible," they said. And so he did, by giving out his phone number and asking disease-free ladies who liked what they saw in Forgetting Sarah Marshall to give him a ring. So I did! The number rang a few times and went to a voicemail with Jason asking callers to email him. You know what? Forget it, Jason Segel.

Très Bizarre: Rammstein Box Set, Now With Bonus Dildos!

Did I mention that the dildos are purportedly molded from each band member's well . . . member?

I love the over-the-top German industrial metal band Rammstein the way I love over-the-top band Abba - with a serious dose of irony. You can never tell if their shtick is for real or tongue-in-cheek, but either way, I like to dork out to them on my way to work.

Well, it turns out that their new box set Liebe Ist Für Alle Da comes with a metal case filled with handcuffs, lube and six pink dildos that are supposed to "reflect the sizes of the six members’ wienerwursts" as Daily Swarm put it. Ha! I guess this is one way of getting close to the musicians you love! Is this better than a personally autographed photo?

The Strokes lead singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Julian Casablancas has a new solo album coming out in early November called Phrazes for the Young. Early reviews are promising, which warms the cockles of my heart, because I love it when the guys I'm crushing on are sexy and talented.

The son of Elite Model Management's Jon Casablancas and Danish model Jeanette Christiansen, Julian inherited his parents' beauty and his dad's business savvy. Does Julian rock your world? What do you think of this pale, brooding musician?

Regrets: The Dave Matthews Band

OK, I admit. I listened to Dave Matthews Band in the '90s - well into the '90s. Then I realized there was a whole world of music to be discovered and moved on. Yet every time I click through the Facebook pages of high school and college friends, I notice several have something in common: Dave Matthews is listed under their favorite music. I wonder about these friends. I wonder what they've listened to for the last decade. You can only replay Crash so many times before it's scratched!

So if one of my nostalgic friends woke up tomorrow, and let's say discovered Arcade Fire, they might share the regrets of this 30-year-old guy - too old to find a new band, too young not to have one. It's kind of like a relationship you stay in because it's there.

Money Woes Mean No Woodstock Anniversary Concert

If you want to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Woodstock this Summer, you'll have to head to a movie theater. Thanks to a lack of money and sponsors, a previously planned commemorative concert won't be happening.

The original promoters of Woodstock had planned to hold a free concert in Prospect Park, Brooklyn, an event that was sure to replace hippies with hipsters.

At least Hollywood's here to re-create the epic concert. Ang Lee's Taking Woodstock opens on Aug. 28 and the cast includes some geeky dreamboats, like Emile Hirsch and Demetri Martin. All is not lost.

One glimpse at the top-25 tracks in your iTunes can tell a lot about you. A 2006 study revealed music is the most popular topic of conversation in the first six weeks of platonic and romantic relationships, surpassing books, movies, TV, football, and clothes.

Introversion and extroversion are perhaps the two characteristics that most affect what music people tune into. Though both temperaments will roll - or rock - with their moods and activities, extroverts are more likely to reach for upbeat music that's heavy on vocals while introverts gravitate towards slower tunes with complex movements.

One surprise is that there's no connection between the abrasive lyrics common in rap and heavy metal and aggressive or sexual behavior. Listeners of heavy metal, particularly, have shown to be sensitive and gentle souls. In fact, they have a lot in common with classical music lovers. They're both creative, easy-going, and introverted.

Do Tell: Who's Your Fantasy Rocker Guy?

An informal Sugar HQ poll revealed that when it comes to fantasy rocker guys, we're all over the map! Answers to the question "Which rocker from any era would you hook up with if you could?" yielded icons like Jim Morrison and Jimmy Hendrix to the unexpected (for me, anyway) Lenny Kravitz and Anthony Kiedis. (Please note: the question asks which rocker in his prime would you hook up with, since a lot of these guys went to Crypt Keeper seed after years of rocking!)

I'm still in shock that Michael Jackson, an artist who contributed so much to popular culture, is no longer with us. Luckily for all his fans, his music lives on. Out of all his 13 number one songs and countless other hits, it's hard to pick my favorite MJ song. If I had to choose, my top three would be Do You Remember the Time for its amazing Egyptian-themed video, Black or White for its inclusive message, and I'll Be There for the power of young Michael's vocals.
