Are you fluent in meow? This lady is! If you were, you'd know that petting is passé and what your cat really wants is a massage. Afraid Kittles might bite? Use a stuffed Tigger for practice, especially before you try any major "whisker alert" moves. But, really, I don't buy this woman has the touch of a fairy that she claims. This cat is drugged. Look at his eyes!

The Plight of the Cat Lady: Documentary Tells All

Move over Grey Gardens, there's a new cat-lady documentary in the gah-den. The trailer for the dutifully titled Cat Lady ("when cats mean 'meow' to you than people") opens with a former banker taking stock of the kittens living in her house. (All 123).

Debuting this week at the Silverdocs film festival in Washington DC, the documentary follows four women who fit the cultural stereotype of cat ladies - women of a certain age with one, or 100, too many felines. While it's meant to be an emotionally honest look at women whose self-worth is linked to cats, it's, also, inevitably funny. Because, really, if you're going to put whiskers under your nose and mee-oww to the camera, the world is going to laugh. And laugh.

The Great Race, or the Greatest? Midge the One-Eyed Cat

Now I really wish I were in Cannes! So this guy named Martin likes to race his cat, Midge. Midge has one eye. He didn't try to race her (that would be cruel), but she would follow him on runs, and one time she accelerated to race him. She won! He began training.

After winning £1,000 (about $1,500) from his employer to fulfill a dream, he wrote, directed, and costarred with Midge in The Great Race, which has now been selected for the Short Film Corner at Cannes. The eight-minute film has been billed "the ultimate showdown" between man and cat. Meow!

Product of the Day: Cat Camera!

OK, it's officially a SuperHeadz Shironeko Cat Holga in a Can, but that takes up a lot of space, as you can see! If you love Holga cameras like I do, the news that there's now one with a winking cat-face design at the front and meowing sounds and flashing lights will have you drooling with anticipation. Holgas are toy cameras manufactured in China with totally plain, black bodies and interesting quirks. You never know what kind of odd defect will occur in the resulting photograph, and some of them come out looking quite artistic. And to know you can take one of those while the camera meows? I am in heaven.
