This is one of the most genius ideas I've ever heard of! PMSbuddy.com is a free online PMS reminder. Basically, you can either sign up to stay aware of when significant ladies in your life are about to ride the red dragon and act insane in the membrane (so you can be all, "Oh, now I understand."). Or, you can alert people when it's getting close to ~~that time of the month~~ that moment when you might b*tchslap someone for no reason or start crying during an episode of Home Improvement. I think PMSbuddy will end up saving several relationships for me. Thanks, guys!

Oh yeah, she may not know the dirty deets, but she can give you a succinct, single-sentence explanation of it that's dirty enough to suffice. The only question is: Why would big sis need a pair of panties to demonstrate how to use a tampon? Oh, forget I asked.

U is the Australian variety of Kotex products. The commercial for the brand, albeit cute, is completely jacked. I wouldn't be surprised if a pack of men seated around a boardroom table enthusiastically approved this ad campaign: "OK, mates. How 'bout we have a big, furry beaver stand in for a chick's you-know-what, parade it around town, pamper the crikey outta it, and at the end of the day, give the thing what its always wanted - a box of tampons!" Ironically, the website for these products promises to "take the 'oo' out of the vagina taboo". . . with a big anthropomorphic beaver?

Flashback: Old Kotex Ad

And by "old" I mean 83 years old! There was a time when ladies who were ~~on their periods~~ having a "lost daintiness" moment actually had to launder their "cotton pads." (Click on gallery below.) So when Kotex came along, it was probably the equivalent, for women, of a man walking on the moon! (There's a joke in there somewhere, but it's late in the afternoon, I have a cold, and the caffeine's wearing off.) Anyone?

As told by Disney. This sweet animated film from the '40s or '50s gave me an important refresher course on all the stuff that happens when Aunt Flo comes to visit. These days, I bet young girls know their way around a stripper pole more than they do their own bodies, and it's interesting how, in more modest times, they didn't really mince words. The only weird part? It dispels the taboo that you shouldn't bathe during your moon time. Say what-who ever thought not bathing was a good idea?!
