Too Much Information?

Matthew McConaughey's mom is trying to ride on her famous son's coattails with her new book I Amaze Myself! In it, she divulges some pretty personal information about her family, including the fact that Matthew was an accident and that her husband died while they were having sex. She even goes as far as saying "I was just so proud to show off my big old Jim McConaughey - and his gift" when talking about how he was taken out of their house in the buff!

The McConaughey's are clearly a free-spirited family, but I wonder how Matthew feels about his mom dishing all their family secrets? I know that I'd be pretty upset, not to mention embarrassed, but what about you? Even though what she's saying may be the truth, are some things, especially as personal as these, better left unsaid?

Into the Wild With Matthew McConaughey

For any of you who read John Krakauer's biography on Christopher McCandless, Into the Wild, or watched Sean Penn's moving film about his life, you know that McCandless was a restless and troubled kid who gave everything away after he graduated from Emory University and went to Alaska to rough it a bit and live out his nature fantasy. Sadly, he ended up dying of starvation in the abandoned bus he called home. Okay, it's a bummer of a story, but the following video imagines how things might have turned out differently if Matthew McConaughey (who doesn't seem to own a shirt anywhere except in this dramatization) had been in the wilderness with him. Let's just say that brah harshes Chris's mellow.

John McCain was onto something when he called Barack Obama one of the biggest celebrities in the world. While the first-family-in-waiting rings in a Mele Kalikimaka from Hawaii, he's been followed by paparazzi usually found on the A-list celebrity beat.

While swimsuit pics of Jennifer Aniston, Britney Spears, and Matthew McConaughey are common, we sure haven't seen a flood of pics of President Bush in his swim trunks over the last eight years.

Rappers are pretty notorious for cartoon-like displays of machismo. So it's a bit refreshing to hear rapping from a guy who claims he's bi-curious, or curious about bisexuality. AC/DC, bi-coastal, swinging both ways--whatever you want to call it, you all probably know some women who find other women hot. But dudes who are otherwise "straight"? I know none. (Matthew McConaughey and Justin Timberlake--it's all your fault!)
