You know I love me some Leslie and the Lys. Watch as she expounds on becoming an Internet celeb ("no matter how freakishly ghoulish or unlovable" you are) and her fantasy of creating a mobile museum of gem sweaters. (Until they run on tea tree oil, which she's working on, this art project remains a fantasy.) Speaking of art projects, why not make a festive gem sweater for the holidays? All you need is an old sweater, some Puffy Paint, assorted gems, cardboard and this video!

I saw this ~~woman~~ powerhouse of fabulousness perform last month, and lemme tell you, Leslie and the Lys do not disappoint. You gotta love a woman who composes rad lady jams and wears form-fitting gold suits with octopus shoulder pads on the outside. Her backup singers are amazing, her style is fierce, and she inspires freaks and geeks everywhere. Go Leslie!

Having never seen the movie Willow, which this video from the freaktastic Leslie and the Lys is loosely (understatement of the year) based on, I don't entirely get what's going on. Willow's gotta save a Daikini child from someone . . . er something like that. Sorry, I'm too distracted by Leslie's gold jumpsuit and gnarly dance moves. Maybe you can fill me in.

It takes a bold woman - who describes herself as "200 pounds of all woman" - to squeeze into a gold spandex Star Trek jumpsuit, dance like no one's watching, and sing her "lady jams" with abandon. But that's exactly what Leslie and her band The Lys do. Here they are on a children's show (?!) called "Chic-A-Go-Go" entertaining (and I suspect, scaring) little children. I cannot take ~~credit~~ blame for this find; give the ~~blame~~ credit to Audreystar for knowing Giggle's taste oh, so well! Watch until the end. Really.
