This morning, Leonardo DiCaprio is mourning the death of his grandmother, who passed away at 93 in her native Germany. Apparently Leo is close to heartbroken, which comes as no surprise, because they had always been very close.
As we all know, death is one of life's natural progressions, and for many people, losing a grandparents is their first experience with loss.

There's a great scene in Steven Spielberg's Catch Me If You Can when Leonardo DiCaprio's con artist character tries to elude the cops by pretending to be a pilot. As he waltzes through the airport, he enlists the help of some glamorous stewardesses (yes, that's what they were called back then) to camouflage him with their identically glamorous outfits. A lot of the photos in this slideshow hearken back to a time that some call air travel's glory years, when service was still good and passengers weren't herded like cattle.

GQ named Barack Obama one if its "Men of the Year" in an issue that went to print before Election Day. Obama graces one of four different covers among the likes of Michael Phelps, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Jon Hamm, and includes an article written by Senator Ted Kennedy. Obama is called the "Game Changer of the Year," and in his intro Kennedy says:
Whether he wins or loses, Barack Obama has ushered in a new era of American politics with a limitless vision of a better future that will endure for many years to come.

Leonardo DiCaprio is fighting for a new cause. After seeing all of the war that has been caused over diamond money, he is trying to educate us to only buy diamonds that come with certifications ensuring they are not conflict diamonds.
So what happens when you've got your sights set on a flawless two carat stone and the seller can't seem to find the paperwork on it?
