- Sara Nelson, an editorial consultant of a firm looking for ways to connect teens and books, on how publishers are smart to reach teens via nonbook formats. Publishers are starting to use mobile technology and online social networks to reach young readers.

To promote Lauren Conrad’s new book LA Candy, publisher HarperCollins is using 2D bar codes that, when scanned by cameras on mobile phones from the back of book jackets, lets readers connect to extra content like video interviews with the author.

Would You Be There For a Friend No Matter What?

Fighting with your best friend can be even more heartbreaking than fighting with a significant other, but a bond between BFFs is hard to completely let go. This was proven last night on The Hills when Lauren and Heidi caught up at the SLS Hotel opening. Although their relationship is undoubtedly strained, Lauren could see right though Heidi's tough exterior and told her that no matter what, if she ever needed anything, she'd be there for her.

After all they've been through, it was clear that they missed each other, but tell me, could you ever be that gracious to someone who betrayed you?

Is It Hard to Apologize When You're in the Wrong?

The drama between Lauren and Audrina over Justin Bobby continued last night on The Hills. Even though Audrina finally came to the realization that the rumor about her best friend and boyfriend was just that, she was still pretty apprehensive about apologizing to Lauren. Admitting your wrongdoings can be a daunting task, but tell me, have you ever been afraid or nervous to apologize when you were in the wrong like Audrina was last night?

Has a Friend Ever Falsely Accused You of Something?

Last night's episode of The Hills was one of the most dramatic yet. We saw Lauren and Audrina's spat over Justin Bobby unfold before the show aired, but watching how it really went down made me realize just how ridiculous Audrina's accusations were. While I understand her reasons behind confronting both Justin and Lauren, their first denial should have been good enough for Audrina to simply drop the issue. I've never been falsely accused of something by a friend before, so I can only guess how frustrating it must be to defend your word against someone else's. Have any of you ever been accused by a friend of doing something you had absolutely nothing to do with?

Have You Ever Had to Choose Sides?

Last night's episode of The Hills sure didn't disappoint in the drama department, but I'm still surprised that Audrina semi-befriending Heidi wasn't made into a bigger deal than it was. I think it's been an unspoken assumption that LC's friends had to pick a side in the Heidi-LC war, but Audrina didn't skip a beat when presented with the opportunity to be chummy again with Heidi. Though LC didn't have the reaction I thought she'd have, I can only assume that their reunion will cause quite a rift in their already rocky friendship. Of course, feeling like you have to pick one friend over another is a tough position to be in, but I have a feeling some of you can relate. So tell me, have you ever had to choose sides between arguing friends?

PopSugar: If you could go back to a year ago and tell yourself some advice, what would it be?
LC: It would be that I’m never going to please everybody so I should just give up now. [Laughs] I mean you can waste so much energy trying to make everyone happy, but at the end of the day it's impossible to please everyone, so you just need to focus on what makes you happy.

I'd say that's a pretty good tip! What would your advice be to yourself knowing what you know now?

Here Comes the White House Correspondents Dinner!

Oh, man this has to be the hottest ticket in town. The special dinner where the press gets to roast the president? Especially one whose approval rating hit 28 percent today and it's his last year in office!? I'm dying, dying to go.

The whole tradition of the dinner started in 1924, when Calvin Coolidge became the first of 14 presidents to attend. Up until World War II, the dinner was an entertainment spectacle with singing between courses, a homemade movie (aw! how cute is that?!), and an hour-long, post dinner show with big-name performers.

This year is no exception. I suppose? Though the list this year doesn't feature Sinatra, (or Paula Jones and Matt Drudge like in this pic from 1998). Ben Affleck, Pamela Anderson, Eric Dane, Tim Daly, Hayden Panettiere, and Marcia Cross will all be there - and kind of inexplicably - Lauren Conrad from The Hills. Maybe LC and GWB are BFFs? Could happen.

The host this year is Scottish-born, now US citizen Craig Ferguson, who said of receiving the honor,

But I thought as soon as I become an American you know what is going to happen, I am going to get jury duty or the CIA. will get in touch and have me assassinate a foreign head of state. Anyway my first job as an American citizen I can exclusively reveal tonight is performing at the White House Correspondents Dinner weekend. I am doing it. I am doing it. I know! Anyway, I am not hosting it. President Bush is . . . I am thinking does he know I can't be kicked out now? Like it would be the
big thing have the dinner and my last act at president, you go home Ferguson. I am like I am home.

Having "The Hills" Withdrawals?

The most recent season of The Hills has sadly come and gone and I'm seriously hurting. Where else am I going to soothe this aching sweet tooth for a scripted "reality" program involving people way younger, richer, tanner, and dumber than me but who are still compelling in a disgustingly shallow SoCal sort of way? Thank God for Mad TV.
