Kathy Griffin appeared on Larry King Live last Friday to promote the return of her Emmy-winning reality show, My Life on the D-List. Given that Kathy has something nasty to say about everyone - minus Anderson Cooper - Larry knew exactly what he was doing when he dragged Tom Cruise into the discussion. He was stepping into a minefield of accusations and slander and . . . invisible alien antennae? Good times!

- Mary Murphy, a judge on So You Think You Can Dance, breaks her silence about the years of abuse she suffered decades ago at the hands of her then-husband.

Years into the marriage, Mary discovered her love for dance, which taught her that she could feel beautiful and talented, and she eventually left her abusive husband nine years into the marriage. Speaking on Larry King Live this week, Mary said even though she repressed the memories for years, she felt compelled to share her story publicly to help raise awareness for other victims.

Pakistan Earthquake Kills 150:
A 6.5 earthquake hit southwestern Pakistan today causing heavy damage and resulting in the deaths of at least 150 people. A local expert says, “It was a shallow earthquake, which is very destructive. The aftershocks will be felt for a week with more or less the same intensity.” Hundreds more are injured following the quake.

Flash Floods Hit India:
Floods swept through northeastern India today displacing 70,000 people from more than 70 villages. Incessant rains caused the Putimari river to breach its banks and rescue forces have been sent in. Two relief camps have been set up to try to accommodate the tens of thousands. People are currently camping on highways under plastic bags.

Obama On Most TV Stations Tonight:
Barack Obama's 30-minute ad will air on most major TV networks at 8 p.m. ET. The taped infomercial will feature a live segment with Obama at a rally in Florida. He will also be on The Daily Show tonight. The 30-minute appearance will delay the start of game five of the World Series. John McCain will be appearing on Larry King Live tonight.

I'm including links here and here to articles discussing the value and legitimacy of the book's promises, so you can do a little research before spending your cash. I took away one useful thing -- a reminder, really -- from the interview I watched with Ellen. We're advised to change our thoughts and the language of our thoughts, but in order to do that, of course, one must become more aware of them.

Now there are multiple studies that confirm the ways in which our thinking impacts our physical bodies, and thus our moods, through neural and chemical processes, so I can get on board with that challenge. I felt resolved -- after considering the interview and other things I know but haven't implemented, ahem -- to stop every day at 2pm and write down as many of my thoughts as I can remember from the day, in exactly the words I was thinking them. In this way, I hope to become more aware of my patterns, of what I choose to focus on and how I describe things to myself. I'm going to do this for 2 weeks, see what I can learn about myself, and make a plan for recasting the thoughts I believe are limiting my life. I don't want to attract anything, per se, just hope to get clearer and cleaner about myself. Anyone care to join me in the exercise?

Isaiah Washington is scheduled to defend himself, yet again, on tonight's episode of Larry King Live in his first television interview since getting fired from Grey's Anatomy. Just like other celebrities/personalities that have found themselves in hot water, Isaiah profusely apologized for his antics, even did a stint in rehab in order to save face, but his attempts unfortunately did him no good.

So what do you all think about the outcome of this scandal? Do you think his punishment fit the crime he committed? Do you think he deserved to lose his job?
