NO! I grew up in a house with parents who have never mentally matured past being a horny teenager. My father idolizes images of sexy women, would have playboy magazines laying around the house, a basement devoted to cutouts of Pamela Anderson/Carmen Electra/gag sex toys, and would watch any movie no matter how bad it was if there was nudity/sex in it. My mom openly talked about her and my dad's sex life to me, often letting me know if I came home from work, how I interrupted them because my father wouldn't do it i I was in the house.

I find it completely inappropriate and uncomfortable that my parents have been so open and over the top about it since I was like 11. There is no way in hell that I would ever discuss anything with them!

No. I've accidentally hit the remote to my parents TV and they had been watch porn. To this day I've never said a word. I leave my discussions with sex to person it pertains.

Oh god, never. Super conservative folks here. As far as my mom is concerned I'm still a virgin. I'm sure deep down she knows I'm not, but as long as we don't talk about anything even remotely linked to sex--I am.

No-- at least I try not to. My mother is a very open person, though, and she hasn't shared a lot about her sex life with me but she has with my husband and that tends to get back to me later. It's a little creepy. She's also tried to get me to talk about my own sex life before, but at least she respects that I enjoy my privacy and she never pushes me about it. I don't even talk to my best friends about it. The only time I really brought the subject up with my mother was when I needed to go on the pill, and that was because I was underage and on her insurance.

My mother knows that my brother and I *have* sex lives, and she's never cared about us living with our significant others, which is great. And like Snookyx, I've always had a very open dialogue with my mom about birth control/reproductive health. But the act itself? Hells no.

Also, "talking graphically about it" may need to be taken with a grain of salt. She could have just told her mom that he had a cute butt or something, which I would still never do but you know...

I'm pretty open with my parents... my mom was one of the first people I told when I lost my virginity, because it was a big stepping stone in my life and I wanted her to be aware of it. Every now and then I ask her for advice about my husband's and my relationship - is our dry spell normal? that kind of thing - but I'd NEVER talk to her about specifics. Our conversations stay very, very general. But she and my dad have one of the best marriages I've ever seen; why wouldn't I discuss my relationships with her?

I voted sometimes. As in sometimes my mom tries to talk to me about my sex life! It's not something that I care to share with her.

yeah I'm open with my boyfriend about my past how many guys i sleep with or had sex.but with my parent i cant coz that my private life that why i get pregnant (hehehe) coz i didn't open to my parent but that's life...anyway enjoy life...

My mom knows I have sex, knows I am on birth control (for many years, now). She won't say a peep about it, and nor will I. Once, I found my parents sex toys when they were married, and it was horrifying because I don't care to know extra details about my parents sex lives.

I think it's cool that people can be open with their parents about sex. Like, a mother-daughter type thing. I don't think it's appropriate to talk in detail, but I have known people who have talked about sex with their moms, in regards to not getting enough or something, but not any details thrown in. I don't even think I would go down that alley...I like my privacy.

I grew up in a house where my parents idea was... "If your gonna do it, don't hide it". At the age of 15 I came out of the "closet" and told my mom I liked girls and that I had recently obtained a girlfriend. My mom was awesome about it and offered me to bring her over. My parents are really awesome about the whole ordeal and hell, she has even tried to find a few for me. I love my parents and I love this aspect of our relationship.

I had my son when I was 16- so evidentlly my parents know I have had sex. My mother and I are like best friends. I go to her for advice about my son, my friends, and life in general.

In the past she was not a fan of my boyfriends, but she does like my current boyfriend very much. She wants to see me in a healthy relationship, one which includes a healthy appettite for sexual intercourse.

She doesn't mind if I tell her random quirks in our sex life. She laughs and makes jokes with me. How we look at it is, we are both adults, both women, and we have both had sex. It really is no different than talking to your friends about it.

Then again, I was raised in an area where you can speak very freely about anything and no one thinks it is weird or outrageous....

i just went home after being in college for 2 months, and my mom asked me if i was still i virgin. apparently, she found my journal with explicit details. i told her we didn't actually do it... but it's embarrassing that she found out. i wish she'd just have let it go, instead of bringing it up :\
