Julia Child Was a Spy:
Newly released files show that famous chef Julia Child was a World War-II era spy. The CIA declassified 35,000 top-secret personnel files that detailed
the huge spy network run by the OSS, which later became the CIA. Former OSS agents are pleased with the release of the information, a list which includes other notables like Ernest Hemingway's and Teddy Roosevelt's sons.

Was Childs a spy or simply performing clerical duties for OSS? I hope it is the spy bit but I am kind of skeptical.
1LOL, so Julia Childs was spying on what the Commies were cooking up for supper?
Inflation will come back down as soon as someone can knock some sense into Her Highness Nancy Pelosi and get her to bring bills to the Floor of the House instead of shutting down Congress so she can go on a book tour. And I guess His Majesty Harry Reid is off naming a new building or road or bridge after himself.
Oil that is being used today was the "oil futures" of quite some time ago, that's why it's called "futures." But what the Oil Companies are guilty of is charging "today's" price for the cheaper oil they already purchased and refined. And Congress and You and I let them get away with it because we do not understand economics very well.
The killings in the Middle East will not stop until the root of terror is excised from the land. Take that any way you want.
2LMAO! You go Julia. I can definitely see a movie in the works now.
3That Julia Child thing is fascinating.
Mmmm, prices rising while wages remain stagnant--that's a recipe for success!
The violence in the Middle East, and how it continues to distract and detract from any steps made towards peace, continues to sadden me.
4They are already making a Julia Child movie starring Meryl Streep as JC, and Amy Adams as a wanna be chef that wants her for a mentor. They might have to do some re-writes now! Make it into a thriller!
5Yeah, Angelina eat your heart out.
Yeah I was just thinking eaither Meryl Streep or Kate Blanchet would be able to pull her off.
6Maybe even Emma Thompson.
7Julia Childs?
That is awesome!
8I love Julia. She cracks me up.
9Julia really was a fascinating woman, even before she started cooking on tv.
