What's Your Six-Word Story?

Can you tell the story of your life - or even just your day - in six words or less? Ernest Hemingway once claimed that he could tell a great story with just six words, famously writing: "For sale: baby shoes, never worn." This week, John Mayer issued a similar challenge on his Twitter page, using Hemingway as inspiration. Mayer offers his own six-word story ("This heart didn't come with instructions") and asks fans to do the same.

Did John Mayer Do the Right Thing?

Over the weekend, John Mayer tried to clear the air and squash the never ending rumors surrounding his breakup with Jennifer Aniston. Of course, we've heard every reason in the book for why they split, but according to Mayer himself, "There's no lying, there's no cheating. There's no nothing..." In an effort to stand up for her, in my opinion, he also gave her a backhanded compliment when saying, "But it's about time that somebody stands up for that girl and I think she's great."

It's no secret that Jen hasn't been lucky in love these days, and though it was a sweet gesture to defend his ex, do you think John said too much? It sounded like a big pity party to me, but what do you think? If you were in her shoes, would you be thankful or angry by his message to the fans?

How Would You Feel If Your Significant Other Vacationed Without You?

Over the weekend, John Mayer was spotted in Cabo without his new girlfriend, Jennifer Aniston. Seems as though he was relaxing with his band mates and while I understand that distance can make the heart grow fonder, I have to say that I'd have hurt feelings if I were in her shoes. Of course, we don't know the circumstances in this situation, but how would you feel if your significant other went on a celebratory vacation without you when everyone else's wives/girlfriends were there? A lot of you think solo vacations are a do but what about for your partner? Does your opinion change when it's him going on vacation without you? Weigh in and tell me your stance on this kind of scenario.

Have Your Parents Ever Gotten in the Way?

We've been listening to years of controversy surrounding Joe Simpson's involvement in his children's relationships, yet neither Jessica nor Ashlee seem to do anything to stop it. Of course we don't know what happens behind closed doors, and while the media has a tendency to create mountains out of molehills, there's gotta be some truth to Joe's persuasive and controlling ways, or else these nasty little rumors would have died years ago.

Now as someone who still yearns for my parents' approval, I would like to think that I'd never let their opinions get in the way of finding true love, but what about you? Have your parents ever influenced any of your relationships in the same way Joe Simpson has with Jessica and Nick, Jessica and John, and now Jessica and Tony?

No matter how many times they try to deny their relationship, the photos of Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer don't lie! But since they're aware these pics exist, I'm left wondering why they continue to stay mum about their affair. It seems that keeping relationships under wraps in Hollywood is the thing to do these days - Brad and Angelina did it and Minnie Driver has the press jumping through hoops trying to figure out who her mystery man is. I'm the exact opposite - whenever I'm in love, I want to shout it from the rooftops! So what about you? Have you ever had a secret lover or ever tried to keep your new romance undercover or are you with me, the more people that know the better?

And by "takes a stab," I mean he kills it. John Mayer is to comedy as Jessica Simpson is to acting-- that is, a disaster. I advise they both keep to singing. (But I'll admit, he does crack a funny Carrie Underwood joke. Let's just hope he has darn good car insurance!)
