Jennifer Aniston Premieres Five in Justin Theroux's Hometown of DC With Her Leading Ladies

Jennifer Aniston hit the red carpet in Washington DC last night for a premiere of Five at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center. Earlier in the day, Jennifer Aniston toured a new breast cancer treatment facility along with Vice President Joe Biden's wife, Dr. Jill Biden. Jill also attended the bash alongside Jeanne Tripplehorn and Patricia Clarkson, who both star in the made-for-TV film. Jennifer executive produced the piece and directed one of the five segments. Jennifer's boyfriend, Justin Theroux, wasn't on hand despite having grown up in Washington DC, but he did step out last week for the NYC premiere of Five, which makes its debut on the small screen next Monday, Oct. 10.

Jennifer Aniston joined Second Lady Jill Biden today in Alexandria, VA, to tour the new Inova Breast Care Center. Jennifer was brought to tears as she and Jill listened to the heart-wrenching but hopeful stories of several women who have lived through breast cancer during their visit to the clinic. The cause is one that Jill and Jennifer have both been involved with for several years. Jennifer just debuted her directorial project, the Lifetime movie Five, which is a series of short films about the disease, and her effort will be honored at the Elle Women in Hollywood celebration in the coming months. Jill, for her part, has spent two decades championing early detection and prevention of the cancer. Jennifer traveled to Virginia today from her home base in NYC, where she and Justin Theroux have been settling into their new life together.

Female Soldiers Get Makeup and Mags – Annoying or Cool?

I'll admit that I use makeup and enjoy mindless magazines from time to time. Perhaps female soldiers do too and that's why Jill Biden and Nancy Pelosi took part in making care packages that included Cosmopolitan magazine, tampons, eye masks, lipstick, and camouflage pink makeup bags in addition, to the usual beef jerky, raisins, and toothbrushes.

This is the first time the USO has sent "female-centric" care packages and the overly-feminine nature of the products is calling into question whether they are demeaning to the female soldiers - the pink camouflage bag might go a little far in treating these tough soldiers like girlie tweens. Defending Her Title: It's Dr. Jill Biden to All of Us

Michelle Obama may get all the attention, but there's one thing that stands out about Jill Biden. Doctor always precedes her name.

I've actually thought about the title at little to moderate length before - certainly enough to be embarrassed! She has a PhD in education, so shouldn't she be Jill Biden, PhD? No, that would sound weird. I always called my college professors Dr. - Even the art ones! So maybe it's not that weird. But Michelle Obama is a lawyer, and we don't call her Attorney or Michelle Obama Esquire. Though the latter suits her.

In the end, Jill Biden is called Dr. Jill Biden because she asks to be. Joe Biden liked to joke on the campaign trail that she went back to school at 55 because she was sick of seeing mail addressed to Sen. and Mrs. Biden. Ugh. Say it ain't so Joe!

The request may actually serve a purpose in academia, where sexism exists in more than just the books. A professor at University of Southern California's Center For Education said that male academics are more likely to be called doctor by colleagues while women are often addressed by their first names.

So what is Dr. Biden's request? Accurate? Smug? Feminist? Or totally irrelevant?

It was a humbling honor for the star. Jessica Simpson tweeted, "It's such an honor to join First Lady Michelle Obama as she kicks off her new initiative in support of our military & their families."
