Sex and gas just don't mix, so if you know your stomach is feeling bubbly after a spicy meal, you probably have the good sense to save your intimacy for another time.

You can't always be prepared for things that come up, though (or out, in this case!), so what would you do if you accidentally tooted while getting it on? It's totally mortifying to think about, and I'm sure a lot of people would want to stop immediately, grab their clothes, and run, but some people actually think passing gas is funny. So tell me, what would you do if this happened to you?

Intimate Problem: Penile Fracture

There's a time and place for wild sex, but you don't want to become too energetic and risk giving your man a penile fracture. When I saw this happen on a recent episode of Grey's Anatomy, I thought they were joking. I mean, there's no bone in the penis, so how could it become fractured? This rare injury actually involves the cylinder in the penis known as the corpus cavernosum, the part that becomes engorged with blood when a man has an erection. When the lining of this cylinder ruptures, it's known as a penile fracture. It's apparently an extremely painful injury that may be accompanied by a popping sound, immediately followed by bruising and loss of erection. The urethra may also be damaged, and a guy may notice blood at the opening of his penis. This is not something that will remedy itself with ibuprofen and a bag of ice - immediate medical attention and surgery is necessary, and if the guy doesn't get help, he can suffer permanent damage to his business.

A penile fracture can happen during sex when the woman is on top, when the penis becomes overbent, or if too much pressure is applied. It can also happen in non-sexual situations - anytime a guy suffers trauma to his penis while having an erection, he's at risk for a penile fracture. Like I said, this is a pretty rare injury so I wouldn't worry too much about hurting your man, but it is something to keep in mind.

How Common Is Female Nipple Hair?

Hair on a guy's chest - now that can be sexy, but when it comes to women, hair on your breasts is not something you want to find. Or worse, it's not something you want someone else to point out. I'm sure you think that hair on a woman's nipples just shouldn't be happening, but it's more common than you might think.

According to Cosmo, a few stray strands is extremely normal. It's typical for a woman to find as many as 15 or so dark, straight strands at one time. Generally, if you have darker hair on your head, you'll have more hair on your nipples.

If you have an abundance of strands on your girls, waxing is a good solution. Don't be embarrassed, because like I said, I'm sure your technician has seen tons of ladies with hair there. If you only have a few lonely strands, then plucking them is a good option. Clean the area with alcohol first, use clean tweezers to pluck each hair, and then wipe the area with alcohol once more to prevent infection.

What's Up With Curvature of the Penis?

Just as all women's breasts look different, men's private parts can differ too. Some are longer, shorter, thicker, or thinner. Some even curve. Since the penis is made of muscles, if certain ones are stronger than the others, it will cause a slight bend known as congenital curvature. A slight curve is normal and fairly common, and there's really nothing wrong or anything the guy should do, unless he feels pain during an erection or sexual activity. Actually some women prefer the curve, especially if it's bent upward since it can stimulate her G-spot better.

If the curve makes sex a discomforting challenge, then the guy may have a condition known as Peyronie’s disease. Peyronie’s occurs in about one to four percent of the male population, and doctors aren't yet sure what causes this condition, though possibilities include injury, infection, or a vitamin E deficiency. They can help diagnose the problem and offer treatment so the man can get back to enjoying sex again.

Intimate Problem: Sex and Gas Don't Mix

You met this great guy, you've been going out for over a month, and you just had the best date ever. You know that the evening is going to end with your first time in bed together, but there's a huge problem - the grande burrito you ate for dinner is wreaking havoc on your stomach. So how do you deal with being intimate when you're bloated and gassy?

Since holding it in won't work - it'll make your stomach hurt, and it could end up coming out when you least expect it - here are a few other options for you to consider:

You could lie. Tell him you feel like you're coming down with something - it is going around, after all. Do some fake coughing, hold your throat, apologize for bailing on your sleepover, and tell him that you don't want to risk getting him sick. Chances are he's feeling airy too, so go home, be alone with your flatulence, and the next time you go out, you can eat something more basic so you'll both be ready for getting busy afterwards.
Take the honest route. Tell him that the meal didn't agree with you and you're not feeling well enough for company. Tell him that you want your first time to be really special, that you're really excited to share this with him, but you'd rather not do it tonight since you're feeling so crummy. Go for a long walk after dinner and get some ginger ale. The walking will help get rid of some of your gas without him knowing, and the bubbly beverage will help to settle your stomach.

End your evening earlier, but say that you want to surprise him and take him out for breakfast or dinner the next day. He'll be excited about the future date, and it'll take his mind off not being able to be with you that night. Plus it'll make your first time even more special if you both wait.

Intimate Problem: Semen Allergy

So you're probably aware that people can have an allergy to latex condoms, but did you know they could also be allergic to semen? It has to do with the common proteins found in it. They may be allergic to all men's semen, or they may only have an adverse response to a specific person's semen.

Symptoms include redness, pain, burning, itching, and swelling in areas where the semen has touched. What's worse is that some people are so allergic that they get hives or have difficulty breathing. Symptoms usually happen within 20 to 30 minutes of contact, and can last for hours or even days.

Dear's Advice: If this sounds familiar, make an appointment with your gynecologist. They may recommend that you use condoms every time you're intimate to prevent reactions.

I have been dating this great guy for the past six weeks and things have been going really well. He is thoughtful, he always initiates dates, and he has made it clear that I am the only girl he is dating and interested in. We have a lot in common and we have amazing chemistry, but we've done nothing but make out. We've had numerous sleep overs and the attracted is there, but it's never gone past third base. I am not a promiscuous, one-night stand kind of girl, and I've only been intimate with people that I have dated, but countless dates later I am getting pretty frustrated. I have never had this problem before -guys are usually anxious to get in my pants - so how do I proceed? Am I just over-reacting, or is something else going on here?

BadNews.Com: Does the Internet Make Recession Worse?

Can merely reporting on bad economic news actually create more? Well a recent article in the Financial Times argues that the Internet creates an unnecessary panic, since apocalyptic news is fed to us all day long.

The article explains that during the Great Depression, people could get a dose of bad news from the morning paper, but they had the whole day to recover and focus on their immediate realities. Today, we can read scary headlines on an minute-by-minute schedule, creating inescapable anxiety and an overall loss of confidence which only makes things worse. The Internet brings the intimate details of faraway woes into our lives. No matter how distant the daily consequences of the financial crisis are, you may feel that your demise is next.

This argument reminds me of one made last summer. If you recall, John McCain had to ditch adviser Phil Gramm after he said the "mental recession" was partially caused by the media's obsession with the economy's problems. Do you think the Internet is hurting our confidence, or is the anxiety simply a reality of tough times?

Dear Sugar,
My husband is 32 years old and thinks it's normal to talk about his sex life with his mother. When we were dating, his mom once told me that I should learn how to give a good blow job in order to attract him more. Then one Valentine's Day, she was the one that told me the kind of lingerie he likes! I was extremely grossed out but at that time, since I was so crazy about him, I did not give importance to the weirdness. He tells me that a lot of men talk about their sex life to their moms, even at his age. This makes me very uncomfortable to say the least, and I can't help but constantly feel embarrassed around her. I've never heard of a grown man talking about such intimacy with his mom, but to each his own. The problem I see with your situation is that it's making you uncomfortable. Since this is both of your sex lives he's talking about, I think it's only fair that he makes sure you're comfortable with him divulging such private information before doing so. Some people don't appreciate their significant others talking about their sex lives with their buddies, so I can only imagine how awkward it is to have his mother be in the know with this information.

Since he doesn't see anything wrong with it, you're going to have to approach the topic from a different angle. Let him know how it makes you feel that his mother knows about what goes on behind closed doors and that you'd appreciate it if he would keep those intimate details to himself. Hopefully he'll be a little more understanding of your feelings once he hears the uncomfortableness in your voice verses hearing a frustrated or annoyed tone. I'm all for being uninhibited when it comes to talking about sex, but it's incredibly important that both parties are permitting of such open disclosure. I hope that after a good heart to heart, he'll be able to respect your desire to be more private.
