Global research site OnePoll.com asked 15,000 women from 20 countries to rate the men they've slept with based on their country of origin, and the results are in: Germans were ranked the world's worst lovers because of their rankness, Brits came in second because they're "lazy," and the Swedes were deemed "too quick to finish," finishing third in this list no man wants to be on.

I like a little natural body odor on my bedmates (it beats a dude who reeks of cheap cologne), so I'm not sure this list works for everyone. But lazy and too quick? These can't be positive attributes of any lover.

I love that, although there were reasons listed for why certain men sucked in bed, the men who were considered good in bed needed no explanation at all. To modify the first line of Tolstoy's Anna Karenina: "All ~~happy families~~ good lovers are alike; each ~~unhappy family~~ bad lover is ~~unhappy~~ bad in ~~its~~ his own way." Could a Message From Across the World Swing Your Vote?

The rest of the world may not be able to cast their vote in the upcoming presidential election, but they still have messages for US voters about how the choice will affect their families and home countries. Indie American satellite network Link TV created a mini video site called Dear American Voter that lets people from all over the globe create and send video messages to those of us who can fill a ballot.

The ploys range from sarcastic to serious and span the political spectrum. In one of the site's promo videos (see below) a handful of non-US citizens say they wish they had a voice in the election - one woman from Australia even suggests she should be able to vote for the US president. Clearly it's critical to keep the conversation open, but do you think a message from across the world could swing your vote?

Somebody Watching You? Peeping Toms Lurking Everywhere!

Citizens all over the world are not safe from Peeping Toms. Venice police just caught a man who had photographed the backsides of over 3,000 women, as they strolled around San Marco square. The man tailed the women wearing short skirts, carrying a bag with a camera, and filming their tails through a small hole in the bag.

Apparently, the Peeping Tom wasn't who you would imagine - authorities say he is a working professional with two young children and a wife. The man faces six months to four years in prison. In Canada, a 46-year-old man has evaded authorities for 14 years, enjoying his extensive library of women he videotaped through their home windows. He collected the footage in order to pursue his fantasies. Officers have only watched about 20 hours of the 90 hours of footage. Hm. Can you imagine being the officers who have to watch that creep show?

And an even more outrageous story comes right out of Charlotte, NC. Police chased a naked (gasp!) peeping Tom, and registered sex offender. When he resisted arrest, the policed stunned the man, who was wearing only tennis shoes, four times. I hope they were careful!

International Women's Day!

Women around the world, and the men who love them, celebrated International Women's Day yesterday.

The Catholic Church had its own special message for women. The Vatican newspaper pondered what contributed most to the emancipation of women in the 20th century. It read: "Some say it was the pill, others the liberalisation of abortion, or being able to work outside the home. Others go even further: the washing machine.”

OMG: It's International Nachos Day!

You'd think the self-described Queen of Nachos would just know in her gut about the following, but alas, this is how I was informed that it was International Nachos Day. A transcript of this morning's Blackberry text messages, verbatim:

CasaSugar: Do you know what today is? It is the day that nachos were supposedly invented!

GiggleSugar: Holy crap!!! I am on it.

So without further ado, the legend of how nachos were born: 65 years ago, a genius maitre d' named Ignacio "Nacho" Anaya (perhaps my firstborn son's name?), was just doing his thing at a restaurant in Piedras Negras, Mexico near the Texas border. As legend has it, some Americans came in right after the chef had stepped out, so ol' Nacho Anaya whipped up a tasty treat of chips and cheese melted under the broiler - with some spicy jalepenos thrown on top just to be jaunty. And there you have it, my friends, the story of nachos. Celebrate this hallowed day, Oct. 21, by eating a pile of cheesy chips and saluting its inventor! I know I will. As an International Male (does that mean gigolo?), you need to emphasize and upholster your man business. I've learned things perusing this catalog's startling pictures that I may never recover from. There's a push-up thong that has "padding hidden inside" that "lifts you up and out." Men can also purchase onesie girdles called Side Trimmers, which hide love handles "for a sleek, lean silhouette under tight-fitting fashions." Please - no tight fitting International Male fashions! I. Can't. Take. It. What would you be more appalled to find out your man was wearing - what's tackier?

Microsoft Interns Embrace Their Dorkiness

Say What? Runner Caster Semenya on Her New Life

"I know who I am. I can't change what [people] say. . . I am a fighter. I never give up. And I knew I was going to get better."

- South African sprinter Caster Semenya has opened up to the media, after officials at the International Association of Athletic Federations (IAAF) publicly called her sex into question this past August. The controversial sex test reportedly revealed that Caster is intersex, and next Friday the IAAF is set to rule on Caster's case. The organization could either ban Caster from competing, require her to undergo surgery, or allow her to compete as she is.

I've traveled to foreign countries, making locals scratch their heads when I try to speak their language, and I've also failed translation exams in college. So although I can't exactly say I have a command of foreign languages, I know a so-awful-it's-awesome translation when I see one. Do Tell: What Language Do You Wish You Could Speak?

I'm always very impressed by people who can speak multiple languages fluently. In my battle to learn French, which started in high school, I've often felt like Joey from Friends, who struggles to learn French for an acting part. In that episode, which I've posted for you here, Joey tries his best, but can't do better than speaking French-sounding gibberish. Since today is International Translation Day, tell me: if you could speak a foreign language fluently, which one would it be?
